the courses themselves are good, I prefer the upper course which is shorter but more challenging. They are always in need of repair / investment in the bunkers and tee boxes, this seems to go in cycles, sometimes good, other times awful.
The biggest issue is that they just let waves of people out with no organisation, especially in summer- be prepared to spend hours stuck behind a bunch of roudy once a year golfers. Avoid peak times though and you'll get a good round

Great old golf course in good condition, only problem with this course is it is very popular and if you are behind the wrong group it could be a long round.

course looks terrible compared to 2 years ago, all the bunkers have no sand in tee\'s are in a terrible state. course looks like it needs some TLC. cant argue with price of £12 for the round though

July 17 2013, course in good condition. Every year they come up with a new excuse about the sprinkler system so for 2 weeks they have been watering with bowsers. With this weather it will not take much to lose the greens, but for now they are generally good. However today I hit several good approach shots that pitched the green and I cannot remember the last time a good 8 iron pitched green and run on 25ft. Rumours that greenkeeper wants to take the course back to more of a linksy feel, which is the case. I really did not adapt to firmer conditions at all well. But its a great course, and very well worth playing. grenn fees £19 week £27 weekend. Not worth £27, and green staff are totally ignorant of paying golfers. They really let the place down.

Played the lower course last weekend. Really enjoyed it. Course in good condition. Few dents and nicks in a couple of the greens but in general the course was in very good shape. Very hilly at different points. There is a nice little concessions stand after the 12th or 13th i think. Stopped off to grab some water as it was very hot. Only a couple of par 3's - the course is dominated by par 4's. The par 3's are certainly a challenge - the 8th, in particular was good fun. Looking forward to playing again. Booked on Direct Tee Times for 20 quid each.

Very dissapointed in the course, first time i have played here and without doubt the last, winter mats were in use and there was no mention of this when i booked it. The course and greens were in very poor condition and the bunkers had hardly any sand in them. It is a shame as the views are spectacular and everyone we spoke to were very friendly, the price we paid was reasonable but i would personally pay more and have a better course.

Excellent Course
What a fantastic course, greens are in perfect condition. Although they are very busy all week they manage to stick to allocated tee times. They have very lovely staff working in the shop and are always available to helping any customer needs. Any issues that may occur on the course, the staff are very good when handling any situations that may happen on the course. For example people playing 5/6 balls.Reviewer Rating

Played this course on and off for over 40 years? wow that time has passed by quickly! It always plays well and the layout is as good as anywhere.

Worth a visit
This venue has two courses and is very forgiving well worth a visit.Monday and Wednesday you can get a buggy for £15 thats half price and on a Tuesday play both courses for around £20 .
Lower course is 6480 off the yellow tee and the upper cource is 5948.
The course has a cafe and is soon to open a smoke house also has a Italian resturant.
