FANTASTIC
I have been playing at Hainault Golf Club for over 20 years and I have to say the condition of the course is A1.I would highly recommend a visit to this course it has obviously had lots of money spent on it over the last few years.

Awful condition
The course is in shocking condition. I found out that their mower is broken so they cannot cut the fairways. This has been the case for 2 weeks. I mean surely they should have more than one? Also the fairways and rough are full of uneven lies and bare patches. The tees didn't have grass on them and are uneven. The first tee on the bottom course is the most unbelievable tee I have ever seen! Not one blade of grass just dry dirt. They also charge full price!Reviewer Rating

Not impressed that the cost of the round did not match the website. I was told these were the new summer rates and the website had been updated. Bearing in mind that I checked the price before leaving home I was not impressed to be lied to! Cheeky guy then gave me change in coins not notes. Not a good attitude at all. Website changed sometime this morning (day later)

Played the upper course last Sunday for the first time in a few years and was very disappointed with the condition it was in, the bunkers we're unplayable and the greens we're very patchy and at £27 I thought it was extremely overpriced compared to other local courses that are in much better condition

Really nice course, some interesting holes and the greens are in good condition. Great bar as well.
Unfortunatly the place suffers from the complete scumbags that play it. Had a really slow 3 ball in front that could only hit the ball about 80 yards and just kept playing loads of extra balls and had a 3 ball standing on the tee box behind me as i was teeing off, chatting loudly, drinking lager and belching like pigs.
No marshalls around to check the standards.
Will not return.

absolute shambles
Played on Sat the 31st of Oct, paid full price for the old course. Fairways were woeful and under water greens. Not looked after by staff, upon finishing I informed them of the condition of the course however staff members were rude and didn't want to know. Played on 21/7 Sunday afternoon, not a great start as a group of 8 were sharing two buggies and 2 sets of clubs. Such a shame as both courses are real tests with some great holes and the general condition is always good but they are now charging top money for what really is a pay and play where literally anyone can turn up - not uncommon to see five balls playing now, no proper booking system, half way hut owners have left and now it is rarely open - the owners have turned it into a cash cow - save your money and drive 20mins up the road to Toot Hill or Chigwell

Great course Ruined!!
Have played this course many times and must say it has one of the best layouts in the area.However in the last couple of years it has been ruined by filling in bunkers and felling dozens of trees.Staff are unhelpful and prices have increased dramatically.Reviewer Rating
