could do better
I love Hainault and have played there for over 40 years however simple things like not letting buggies out when its wet would help maintain the course. Sweeping the greens of all the branches that fell yesterday would've been nice too. Also there should be some system to indicate where the flags are (Front, Middle, Back) like a lot of other courses do.(Round played: Feb 2022 - Score: 86 Handicap: 13)

Old Staple in Essex
The course was very dry therefore playing hard and fast could really do with a bit of rain as the fairways was beginning to crack up due to the dry conditions.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 85 Handicap: 10.7)

Played on 21/7 Sunday afternoon, not a great start as a group of 8 were sharing two buggies and 2 sets of clubs. Such a shame as both courses are real tests with some great holes and the general condition is always good but they are now charging top money for what really is a pay and play where literally anyone can turn up - not uncommon to see five balls playing now, no proper booking system, half way hut owners have left and now it is rarely open - the owners have turned it into a cash cow - save your money and drive 20mins up the road to Toot Hill or Chigwell

Great course Ruined!!
Have played this course many times and must say it has one of the best layouts in the area.However in the last couple of years it has been ruined by filling in bunkers and felling dozens of trees.Staff are unhelpful and prices have increased dramatically.Reviewer Rating

Very Wet And Boggy

Not bad conditionion
Not in bad condition considering the time of year. Played in a group of 4 and both buggies broke down at some point !(Round played: Jan 2018 - Score: 105 Handicap: 25.1)

Not impressed that the cost of the round did not match the website. I was told these were the new summer rates and the website had been updated. Bearing in mind that I checked the price before leaving home I was not impressed to be lied to! Cheeky guy then gave me change in coins not notes. Not a good attitude at all. Website changed sometime this morning (day later)

Greens were wet, Tee's ok couple uneven, bunkers wet, showers four times in the round, bit wind, 1st time I have played this year! I drove well, irons straightish but no dustance, chips good with putting ok ????Round played: Mar 2017 - Score: 91 Handicap: 23)
