A liitle Gem
Played here in very testing conditions, cold, extremely windy but still a lot of fun. Good Course layout, plotting your way round is essential and I think I will do better with some course knowledge.Reviewer Rating

Impressed
I played the previous 9-Hole version here quite a few times, just prior to the closure for refurb, but never the full 18 before that.I was very impressed with the new layout, new holes and the condition of the course. Yes it will need a little time to bed in, but is still an interesting and challenging course to play now.
Most greens are a challenge, not only to approach but then the challenging undulations. I especially enjoyed the front 8 holes, the 8th itself that runs alongside the 1st is a lovely looking hole that requires a bit of thought off the tee due to strategically placed hazards.
We played it twilight for £12, so great value too. Will definitely be back regularly.

Played this course before it closed and been watching it being re-built on there social media sites and was looking forward to the day they re-opened. Played it on the 15th Aug and spoke to a lovely lady at the desk who was very helpful and answered all my questions about the club. There is currently no bar as they refurbishing it and waiting for a license. The layout is really nice and has a great balance of tough holes and also holes that will reward you for good shots. It is an open golf course so the wind will play a factor on some of the holes and club selection is vital. As they have only been opened a month and the amount of sun we have had the fairways are pretty decent, the rough needs time to grow a little as it pretty easy to hit shots out of it. The greens again are pretty decent for only being opened for a month, the speed was just below medium pace but I feel with time they will get quicker and be lightening quick. When hitting onto the green the ball stops nicely so don't be afraid to go for the flag. You won't have to worry about pace of play as there not many people playing due to it being a newly opened. Overall it's a decent course at the moment but I feel it will be get better with time and the price you pay for it at the moment I'd say its a bargainReviewer Rating

Challenging but rewarding course
We played a twilight round on a Sunday evening and were literally the only people on the whole course for 4 hours. This baffled us because this is a really good course and there should have been loads more players. This is a really interesting course to play - you need to think on every hole, course management comes to the fore and good iron play off the tee (even on par 5s) is rewarded. There are very few holes where you stand on the tee and think I’ll smash a driver and see what happens. Split fairways, strategically placed bunkers and interesting risk/reward holes (16th being prime example) make it a great course and elevates above the likes of Stockwood, Batchwood,Redbourn, Mill Green etc. Certain holes (5th for example) have a distinctly linksy feel, which is unusual in South Bedfordshire! Only criticism was the greens - challenging and split level in parts (10th is great) but WAY too many bobbles. It was late on Sunday but needed a huge amount of rolling. Frustrating to navigate a difficult hole and then miss a par putt due to a rogue bounce! That aside, really enjoyed it. Team were very friendly despite staying at work just for us. We will definitely be back!Reviewer Rating
