Excellent condition parkland with open fairways so not too tight and options for a lose shot , challenging without being to harsh .wholes have well place hazards for the careless golfer. Service and welcome excellent at the club, great choice of beer to enjoy on the 19th terrace

First time at Gosfield, and will relish another go. Not really knowing the flow, of the course, and the hazards that lurk around blind corners, and hills. I like the flow to this course, with a few ups and downs and strategically placed greens behind bunkers or lakes. I would say acurracy helps on this lovely course.

Love this course. Brilliant to play in the summer. The nineteenth hole is a great place to sit with a cold beer with your friends.

£20 per round which is great value, most tee's have mats down or they are temporary tee's. Course was muddy underfoot and fairways on some of the holes the grass seemed long and rough.
got back to the clubhouse around 15:15 for something to eat to be told the kitchen was closed, possibly due to the current situation, in all an enjoyable day.

Gosfield, a nice walk.
I played gosfield for the first time in fifteen years on Monday and found it still to be a very nice walk in pleasant surroundings. Gosfield is not a hilly course, the fairways are very wide but if missed the rough is very lush and difficult to play out of, the fairways are still suffering the effects of the hot summer but the greens were very good and medium paced. We had lamb shank for a late lunch which was excellent and well presented. overall a very enjoyable day on a course suited for society's and charity days.(Round played: Sep 2018 - Score: 84 Handicap: 13.6)

We always have our last day of our society at Gosfield. The staff are friendly, the course is kept in good condition and the food is always excellent. It's a course where you can let fly and still be in play....an ideal society course for all handicaps!

I have had the pleasure of visiting Gosfield many times over the years, Cotton did a good job and I would ask that money be spent to improve the tees which are poor, the fairways are good as are the greens which are true and firm. attention is needed as some trees have died but have been left standing showing a lack of TLC but the greenstaff, lakes and wild life are loverly, club house is comfertable and the food was good, all in all always a plesent day out

Always a pleasure to play this forgiving course. In great condition with proper greens for end November....greens slow but true. Catering is fantastic with new chef...quality was good but now its on another level. Great value and great views with some nice water holes.

Played here with a couple of members who knew the course, but omitted to let me in on their secrets. A bit plain for the first few holes gets more interesting on the hillier mid-section. Greens had suffered during the winter and weren't particularly true or consistent. Fairways defined by horrible long, wispy grassthat made it impossible to play out of, if you could find the thing in the first place.14th is a cracker, get a long drive for a shot to the green over the water or lay up to the side for a safe 5. Got my first ever proper birdie on the short 17th.

Perhaps the perfect golf club
4th time playing this Sir Henry Cotton designed course in glorious Essex countryside.Lucky enough to enjoy it in fabulous early-April sunshine.

Yearly Outing at the Wonderful Gosfield Lakes
Always a beautiful part of the countryside, Gosfield is a very special place to be.The course is in great nick and very playable. Today it was very windy which made it very challenging at times. The food was great if a little slow in service but very friendly overall.
It's a shame we live so far away otherwise it would be on the agenda far more often
