Great course for £7.50????, greens will need cutting imminently but that aside a fair test of golf plonked in God's own country (when the sun shines anyway). Views are stunning on the first 8 holes. Lots of long par threes mean you have to play the wind well to score well.

Third time playing Girvan G.C. Friendly welcome at Starters office, and allowed an earlier tee-off. Great wee course, although the greens may have done with an extra cut.

Played twice last week on a trip to Scotland. 8 holes of links are immaculate, and the 10 parkland offer a different test. Really like some of the quirky finishing holes. great value, only downside is a clubhouse renovation meant no after round drink but I can live with that. Really do recommend you try this, but no driver required.

Short but fairly challenging wee course. For a municipal it is a really nice course, especially the front 8 links holes.

Better views than Turnberry at a fraction of the cost! Great for short hitters, good variety of holes.

Excellent if short course with a delightful mix of links and parkland holes. Beware the 17th it is for the long hitters and I tend to play this par 3 as a par 4. The outside of the clubhouse could do with (more) decorating and repair but inside it is a warm and friendly place to have a drink. Excellent value and the course condition is second to none

the girvan golf course has been kept in remarkable condition by the staff during the last winter we were able to play nearly all the time ifthere was more facilities at the course instead of just a starters hut it would be fantastic
