Weather was good and the course very well maintained. The greens were particularly good and playing very true. Surprisingly the par 3s were shorter than I expected, particularly the 17th at only 120 yds. However still a challenge with the bush to the left of the fairway making the tee shot challenging. The bar area is very welcoming and as my first time here I had an enjoyable round.

great course, only complaint was navigating - sometimes found it difficult to know where the next hole/tee was especially when ladies tees in different place to mens

best greens i've been on this year. parts of the course are a bit hard to follow, more and clearer signage please. overall very good.

Course and the greens in particular in excellent condition. And there were actually people working on the course during our round. Don't see that very often theses days! Probably why the course was in such superb condition. Other courses should learn from this. Bunkers full of sand,not stones as is often the case. £25 for a weekday round is a bit steep but you get what you pay for. sandwiches in the clubhouse afterwards were superb ! A great day and we will play again. Recommended.

A short, tight course which is in good condition. The greens were consistent and the fairways were in good condition. There are good practice facilities and both the staff and members were friendly. I would play there again.(Round played: Jun 2013 - Score: 93 Handicap: 19.9)

Well maintained course, excellent presentation all round. Greens offer excellent chances for birdies . Not one green showed any sign of damage or disease. Superb experience. Will return on several occasions.

Dont let the lenght of this place make you think its an easy. Its not.The par 3's are short. However guarded by deep bunkers make the tee shot vital as you can get punished.
There are some sort par 4's. again guarded well with bunkers. There are 2 were the the dog legs are at 90 degree turns so you really have to think.
Its quite an open course with fairways running next to each other with a line of trees to seperate so if you are wayward off the tee you might still have a shot.
Its in great condition. The members here do a real good job of keeping it in good nick and the greens are pretty much perfect. Not a pitch mark in sight.
I'll be back as soon as I can.

Good enjoyable course
I played at Girton in July 2023 as part of a golf society. Being just north of Cambridge, it is inevitably a very flat course. This suits me very well with my advancing years! It is a reasonable challenge without being too difficult for most golfers. I thought it to be a very suitable course for golf societies where abilities can vary from single handicappers to very high handicappers. The clubhouse and on course staff were very friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. I would certainly play here again.Reviewer Rating

Decent enough course without doing anything outstanding. A little up and down in places. Very flat. Back 9 was a little more interesting. Nice welcome from those at the club and well looked after. Enjoyed my day but wouldn't rush back.
