What the club says: The fairways can be quite tight and approach shots to the cleverly designed par 3's certainly require accuracy. With greens rated amongst the best in Cambridgeshire and three daunting finishing holes (including one of the longest par fives in the county), every game will always be one to remember.

Both long and short hitters can play without being penalised.
Speed of a round is excellent.
(Round played: Nov 2019 - Score: 94 Handicap: 21)

great twilight prices and no booking required
nice course , conditions and facilities . no booking required which tends to help with course management

Excellent club and course
Very good conditon even though it was under course maintenance. Excellent flat parkland kept very well with ground improvements happening continually. Bar staff very friendly with good choice of snacks and meals. Recommended(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 87 Handicap: 19.5)

Great Fun
I do enjoy a visit back to Girton. The layout of the course is a friendly one for most abilities, long hitter wont need to hit driver much but there are some tricky holes.
The greens have subtle breaks which are hard to master. A couple of great dog leg holes too.
All round its a great course for any ability.

Thinking course
I love the fact that Girton Golf course is challenging but fair test of golf.In my opinion its great if you like to think and plot your way around a course as many holes you may want to think about club choice off the tee. Driver is not always the best option with dog legs, ditches and bunker all over.
The condition is great, green run really well and so true, being in Cambridgeshire that aren't that many that have tough breaks, more subtle.
They have done some work on the course in more recent years - moving bunkers and adding a pond on the long par 3 12th, this only add to the experience.
Great track and well worth a visit.

Gem

Most tee shots are very demanding, greens are always super slick and hazards in all the right places.
A very nice variety of holes means you shouldn't get bored round here but higher handicappers may struggle with some of the more demanding holes, especially if the wind picks up.

Windy
Very windy day, 20 mph winds, at least 3 clubs extra into, course maintenance in areas(Round played: Oct 2017 - Score: 78 Handicap: )

Excellent Course
Played on a rather wet but enjoyable day. Course in excellent condition.(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 86 Handicap: 11.4)

very friendly beautiful course.
Very friendly and relaxed club. The course was in good condition with some challenging holes.

£15 very good value for money would definitely recommend and play again!

(Round played: Sep 2016 - Score: 86 Handicap: 24.9)

Course is one of the best during the summer months but may get slightly wet during the winter.
Greens are the highlight, well kept and always run nice a true.
Nice mixture of holes where you shouldn't hit a driver from a tee.
It is tight in places so some may struggle if not under control of your ball.

(Round played: Jul 2016 - Score: 95 Handicap: 22)
