As a member I am appalled at the preference awarded to visitors and societies.
Buggies allowed throughout the winter have churned up course.
Greens are spongy and damaged.
Tees are nothing more than bare soil.
I don't know if the course will recover in 2017 it is that bad.
We played a members Saturday comp only to have to wait around as a society finished up ahead. There were many issues with greens also as the 30+ people with buggies had not only wrecked the fairways but it looked like not a single one of them had bothered to repair chip marks or replace any of their divots.
If you are a visitor then snap up the great deals on offer as they are excellent value for money.

I received an email from Frodsham golf club in which they claimed to be the driest course in Cheshire! It must be the only course in Cheshire if this is true because when I played there, it was a big and in my opinion, unplayable. They allowed buggies on the course despite it being so wet and this was quite clearly causing more damage to the wet fairways and rough. I won't be heading back their in a hurry!

Our society played the course on Sunday 20/3/2016. I was very disappointed. The greens were full of moss and it looked very un-kept. I reported this to the pro shop, who said that they have been too busy to round to maintenance? It,ll be a long time before I waste my money on playing there again.

Played this place in a comp,cost £17.50,what a waste of money,there was only nine four balls,the course was very poor,there was even a society playing at the same time !!!! Unbelievable ,last time we go there.

They are killing this course no facilities no one looking after it. And won't surprise me if it has no future. Can't argue with the price bit try charging more and out I back into the course its not rocket science.

Poor greens are still the bogey for this course.

Poor Greens
Given that we've had almost two months with no play on the course I would have expected more grass on the greens, Very brown and like playing on to concrete - More like a day 4 criocket pitch than a golf green. Thnius is usally a decent course for the money so I'm hoping this is a one offReviewer Rating

Shame
Played after re-opening of lockdown, should have gone elsewhere, as others have said the greens are a disgrace and won’t recover this year, worst I have ever seen, basically should have picked up ball on reaching green and guessed on putts you would normally take!! Is a real shame because it is a nice course with variety, won’t be going back sadly ????Reviewer Rating

Should have been closed!!
This is a lovely course in a nice setting however whilst we were very grateful for the opportunity to play, the course should have been closed as the damage done was significant- buggies should definitely have been banned as inconsiderate users were driving them across fairways and leaving big tracks on them. I hope they don't put taking money over making sure the long term condition isn't ruined.Reviewer Rating

Course getting upgraded layout and holes changed.played here before good course.but would recommended the club to inform players before booking so at least you will know before turning up.

Winter Golf at a Good Price
A little rough round the edges, facilities, greens and tee boxes have plenty of room for improvement but at £15 and in December you get what you pay for.(Round played: Dec 2018 - Score: 89 Handicap: 19.2)
