A superb golf course and club house. We received a warm welcome throughout our stay in the Dormy house. Superb experience.

Our group of six stayed in the Dormy rooms above the clubhouse during mid June this year. We had some misgivings before arriving, having heard stories of stuffy members and very strict rules etc. They could not have been further from the truth, no you don't need long socks, no you don't need jacket and tie in the lounge etc. We were treated like long serving members, given every courtesy and made to feel more welcome than many lesser clubs have in the past. Indeed on our arrival night there was a members BBQ and function to which we were all invited and made very welcome.The breakfast was superb and we were even given a wraped bacon buuty each on the morning of our departure.
The course is one thing that did meet with the reputation it has, in excellent condition, challenging yet fair with wonderful, ironed greens on which putting was a delight.
We have toured as a group for 22 years throughout the UK and this will always remain as one of our favourite visits, hopefully we will make it back again one day.
So my advice to any golfer thinking about playing this magnificent course, go ahead and do it and I'm sure you will be made as welcome as we were.

A superb course with some parkland style holes amongst links holes. Greens were good but slow due to recent rainfall. Lovely Clubhouse and a warm welcome.

A very well kept course in a beautiful setting - a real joy to play. Clubhouse and facilities to match but perhaps a shade expensive.

A proper old English championship course. Stunning views, tough but fair when you hit what your aiming at. Greens were fantastic

Absolutely different class. Not a weak hole on the course and some to be in awe of. Greens were impeccable. One of the very best around and hospitality to match from the pro shop to the bar staff. Worth an overnight stay in the haunted scooby doo mansion too as things do indeed go bump in the night!
