Fantastic as always !
Always a great venue for our golf society away weekend and the variation in the three nine holers makes for great competition. Food and drinks always lovely and the professionalism and friendliness of the staff is very welcoming. Greens were immaculate and for me the Beeches course is my favourite for a number of reasons including lovely tree lined greens and undulating fairways, plus a couple of decent par 3's. We will certainly be back !Reviewer Rating

As ever a great day here.
Most people will know of Forest Pines - it's one of Golfbreaks.com biggest sellers in England. The day was a complimentary thank you and celebration for those people around Lincolnshire and Yorkshire who use Golfbreaks.com hosted by the company. For those who haven't played it - FP is a tricky track that can yield good scores if the ball is kept on the fairway from tee to green. There are many intimidating tee shots here and accuracy from the tee is key.
The whole course screams quality as does the venue itself and great value deals can be found there. It's excellent throughout. Tee boxes manicured perfectly, fairways keep the ball safe, off of the fairway and there's trouble, but generally (unless you are very wayward or your ball takes up swimming lessons) where the wayward shot lands is the punishment, there's no hidden dangers (like knee-high rough under trees) so it is also a fair course. The greens were immaculate, fast and very true, bunkers were well maintained and playable from, it's also a pretty course at this time of year so those who aren't playing well can enjoy the scenery. I've never played really well here but I've never hit a complete disaster either but finding that extra gear to pull out the really good scores tends to be beyond me at this course. There were 60 players invited by Golfbreaks.com for the day the winning points score was 36 for the gents and 28 for the ladies, and the team comp (best 2 stb scores on each whole from the fourball) was only won with 86 - so it played tough but fair once again.
If you haven't played here it's a must visit course that is better priced than a lot of it's contemporaries. Well worth a day!

Challenging but enjoyable course
I am a mid to high handicapper and those bunkers really punished me when I landed in them. Admittedly the weather in the weeks before our visit was very wet so some bunkers suffered as a result. The undulating greens were well-maintained and very fast. Superbly maintained fairways too. All in all a challenging but thoroughly enjoyable set of coursesReviewer Rating

Nearly killed me!
Tihjter fairways than Ashby Decoy, some green near impossible to read, brilliant par three over the lake, hotel was spotless, great food, residents get 20% off at the bar, all in all a great place to play golf. Three sets of nine holes, we played all, three sets, brilliant.Reviewer Rating
