Forest Pines disappointing golf

Disappointing that only two of the 3 x 9 holes was in play. The lack of food or drink in the clubhouse very disappointing. A very souless course and clubhouse lacking the 3 in our party were all very disappointed so much that we left early without finishing the 2nd 18

28 of us ventured to Lincs and Forest Pines. The course is pretty good but no better than average . Tree lined , decent greens etc. we were staying overnight as part of a package . The food was hideous and i have pics etc and as for the beer ,Guiness £4.95 per pint . We travel all over the country and to France . If you look on other sites you will see similar reviews . Avoid this place . As for the other reviews , are they made up , the handicaps , scores etc really ????

great fun

It was great fun but the greens were very very fluffy and needed trimming, costing a lot of shots for most of our group.

In poor condition

Fairways and bunkers in terrible condition. hardly any sand in bunkers, fairways look liked they've been churned up by a tractor, also very scabby.
Greens are fantastic though

Good fairways and tees, Poor Greens and Bunkers. Staff - Ughhhh!

Nice looking, pretty, scenic course. Lots of pine trees bordering almost every fairway so have plenty balls! Tee Boxes and Fairways in great shape. Unfortunately greens had been aerated and top dressed with sand so in the morning dew were terrible. The ball just picked up so much sand, putting conditions very poor, ball jumps and bobbles so pace and line were impossible to judge. Bunkers are hardpan under the surface and really need attention. The young staff were really friendly, but the older staff were really grumpy, and set a poor example.

We played two rounds at Forest pines. The weather on the first day spoiled the round, very wet and windy. Day two was fine and the course played well. Tight course with some interesting holes and tight fairways. The course is a bit tired looking in places and the greens were very slow.
The club house staff were friendly but the prices were a bit steep.

Badly needs signage from Green to next T.
Suggest small arrow on tree as you exit Green to next T,simple and cheap.
Got fed up of wondering around in the wind and rain to find next T,yuk!!

A very tough course

A very tough course. You need to hit straight and long. Love the options of the 3 x 9 hole loops. The hotel, accommodation, staff, food and shop are all brilliant. Great value for money with the one exception of the bar !! wow !! Well worth a visit but don't expect to score big. Fairways were good for the recent weather, greens could've had the benefit of a roll but good overall.

Day 2 of golf break

Lots of trees, sign posted well as all 3 nine hole courses intermingled, some of the fairways were not at there best, but with the summer we have had, but the greens were well maintained if a bit 2 paced.

Tight fairways I've never hit so many trees bunkers are unplayable but course on the whole is good.
If you have high handicap id avoid.

Staff and members friendly. Hotel restaurant not the best but each to there own I guess.
