What the club says: Forest Pines (Forest Pines)
The stunning championship layout at Forest Pines was opened in 1996 and has rapidly become one of the must play courses in the UK. The fairways twist and turn their way through majestic pines and then into open heathland and despite its tender years, Forest Pines is reminiscent of a more established championship course. Split into three 9 hole loops, the Pines, the Beeches and the Forest, it plays at 6,882 yards in its longest combination. Designed by John Morgan and constructed to exceptionally high standards, it was voted the best new course in England by Golf World magazine and Today's Golfer named rewarded the resort with the title of 'Best Golf Course in the East of England in 2018'

great fun
It was great fun but the greens were very very fluffy and needed trimming, costing a lot of shots for most of our group.Reviewer Rating

This is a proper course, golfing heaven
For me FP is a course for real golfers, trees so tall you can't go over them, hole layouts which challenge any golfer and greens which need intelligence to play properly. We played it today at what I would say is 80% of how good it can be, so not absolutely mint yet but it's on its way. Out of the three nines there I have to say I prefer Forest then Pines but it messes with my head as I also love Beeches. If only you could combine the best holes from all three! The course was pretty lush today and the greens were quick and held a good wedge in, some of the fairways were tatty around the edges but it was certainly very playable. Come here in late May through to September and it should be at its best with flowers blooming and immaculate greens and fairways. At ?25 with a member this is a steal, on a weekend it's worth ?50 of anyone?s money I would say.Reviewer Rating

A very tough course
A very tough course. You need to hit straight and long. Love the options of the 3 x 9 hole loops. The hotel, accommodation, staff, food and shop are all brilliant. Great value for money with the one exception of the bar !! wow !! Well worth a visit but don't expect to score big. Fairways were good for the recent weather, greens could've had the benefit of a roll but good overall.Reviewer Rating

The least favoured of the 3 layouts but Beaches has challenges all of its own - notably the 4th which off the yellows is a daunting par4 - go 30 yards back and play of the whites and its a less challenging par 5!Reviewer Rating

Love the place, a proper course!
To me Forest Pines is a proper course, one you?d expect to see on TV (and you do on Sky sometimes) and one which tests your golfing ability in all ways. Playing these three nines in the summer sun is a joy with the sun highlighting the tall pines and the undulating greens protected by well thought out bunkering. Added to the lovely flower arrangements, the good putting green and professional starter, you have a great golfing venue. The only bit which wasn't up to normal standards were some fairways had been damaged by badgers and some tee boxes badly need recovering, but with the numbers playing these courses it is a wonder you can play it all. It's a superb mixture of challenges, my favourite nines being beeches and Forest but Pines is millimetres behind. Hole 3 on beeches, hole 9 on Forest amongst my favourites on how they look to the eye. The golf bar was great, but more staff needed at busy times to help the girls in there. Hotel absolutely fine, good rooms, TVs, food and a decent pool and spa too. Overall a great weekend golfing venue, but also one you should drive to just to play all three nines in summer, you won't be disappointed.Reviewer Rating
