I played here with a group of 12 of us last September. All in all we had a fantastic day and were really well looked after by the sec and members we met on the day (a saturday). Everyone agreed that it was one of the most friendly places we had played.

Good value for money we played their 9 hole course in the morning which was a great warm up for the main course in the afternoon. As others have mentioned if it weren't for about 4 or 5 dull holes in the middle/back end of the course this would surely be a really sought after course. The fact that it isn't means that it's decent value and the club are really helpful and friendly to visitors even on weekends!

Played Sept 12, course in great condition, about 13 fantastic links holes with 5 poorer inland holes.

A proper seaside links with penal rough and undulating fairways. Lovely old clubhouse and friendly staff

Felixstowe - a fine and fair links

2nd visit here in past 3 years and a lovely experience it is all round. Good clubhouse food, course in nice condition especially considering dry weather. Layout encourages a good bit of risk and reward with some short par 4's and gettable par 5's if you have your A-game. The holes back into the wind will then test you and par will be more than acceptable on holes like 16 (long par 3) and 17 (long par 4) Look forward to taking it on again next year.

Suffolk's only links course - and what a treat it is too!!

Being a links course, you are likely to experience some wind - but what I love about Felixstowe is that while it can play tough, its always fair. You will have an equal amount of holes down and into the wind.

With 3 par 5's in 4 holes around the turn, some will get sucked into thinking you can go nuts, but 2 of them are low stroke indexes so a good strategy is needed.

A nice mix of par 3's too and some good fun holes after you cross the road on the back 9.
17th is superb and its some stunning scenes when you putt out on the 18th.

As with a lot of links courses, will depend on the rough as to how forgiving it is off the tee, but the fairly large greens are maybe easier to hit than a tradition parkland course, but you may not fancy some of the undulating putts.

Such a fun place to play golf.

lovely course ( in the sun!)

Played mid March so we were a bit concerned about weather given its position next to the Sea, However it was a nice day but a stiff breeze picked up as we went round and that really hits you on the inward holes , makes it a tough finish.
In very good condition given the recent rain and is a fair test of all golfers

Always enjoy a links experience, as others have said there is a clear better side of the course but well worth playing.
