Seaside Fun
I love going back to Felixstowe every so often as it is a great test of links golf.Depending on how thew weather is will depend how difficult this course plays. The fairways are fairly wide but running out of room is fairly likely. There are some holes that require some thinking from the tee and picking the correct lines is important.
The greens are quick and true and there are some tough pot bunkers to negotiate.
All round great links course right on the sea.

Great Links Course

Lovely links course

Excellent customer service
Having played the course a couple of weeks ago I realised I'd left my golf shoes in the changing room. I contacted the club, explaining that I lived a fair way away (no pun intended). They not only found my shoes and posted them to me, but they cleaned them as well!!! Absolutely delighted, I'll be back next year with my Society. Thank you Felixstowe Ferry.Reviewer Rating

Perfect time of the year to play Felixstowe.Greens are fairly fast for this time of year and the fairways/Greens/Rough all have great definition and all in excellent condition.
Bunkers seems to be in great shape as well and always looking to improve them.
Depending on how high the wind is depends on how much fun you will have!

One of my favourite courses which I play once a year, it is always in great condition and is a challenging links course. It is also the 3rd oldest course in England and well worth a visit.

Played Felixstowe on Friday, we were well recieved and advised where all the facilities were. On the first tee we noted that the wind was up, maybe a 2 or 3 club wind, we were up for this, a great days golf was had, tees were first class, bunkers were excelent, fairways were good and the greens are big, quick and true, real class. Many holes are different with left and right dog legs, acurate driving is needed, miss the streems and you will have a good score. Showers were hot and dinner was good but a little pricy. Class Club. Nice Members Handicap 16, shot net 71.

Felixstowe - a fine and fair links
2nd visit here in past 3 years and a lovely experience it is all round. Good clubhouse food, course in nice condition especially considering dry weather. Layout encourages a good bit of risk and reward with some short par 4's and gettable par 5's if you have your A-game. The holes back into the wind will then test you and par will be more than acceptable on holes like 16 (long par 3) and 17 (long par 4) Look forward to taking it on again next year.Reviewer Rating
