One of my favourite courses which I play once a year, it is always in great condition and is a challenging links course. It is also the 3rd oldest course in England and well worth a visit.

Great course...nice staff....not too much wind....very sunny....greens surprisingly slow.....by the sea so what more can you ask for!!

on the shore - tough on a windy day - greens in good condition, fairways suffering for lack of rain. not many memorable holes.

good but not exceptional links course. I would have enjoyed it more but there is a road running right through the middle of the course with a pretty hefty volume of traffic and even a small miss will be right into the road. It could do with a range, but that's just a personal preference

very good food and friendly atmosphere amongst the members. course was very enjoyable with changes to bunkers being made for the future

Tough course to play in winter time, but it was dry when essex was a bog. Tough test, liked the conditions and greens. Helpful pro. Thumbs up!

Greens at the moment have just had work done to them and are not very good at this time.
Which is a pity because they have been very good this year .
With this it is just not good to putt.
The rest off the course is playing fine though maybe the sand is too hard.

Course is a links type, with views over the sea and surrounding farmland. Fairways are tight and greens receptive

I've played here a few times and it's a challenge when it's windy. It's exposed to the North Sea and with the wind blowing makes some of the par 5's difficult to reach in regulation.There is a nine hole course too if you want to do 27 holes! The staff are really welcoming and the fish'n'chips are to die for!

Played Felixstowe on Friday, we were well recieved and advised where all the facilities were. On the first tee we noted that the wind was up, maybe a 2 or 3 club wind, we were up for this, a great days golf was had, tees were first class, bunkers were excelent, fairways were good and the greens are big, quick and true, real class. Many holes are different with left and right dog legs, acurate driving is needed, miss the streems and you will have a good score. Showers were hot and dinner was good but a little pricy. Class Club. Nice Members Handicap 16, shot net 71.
