What the club says: Ellesmere Port Golf Centre, is set in a quiet surrounding close to pretty woodland and is home to a golf course and shop, golf simulator, squash courts, bar and function room. The golf course is of parkland variety and is renowned and respected as an enjoyable challenge for all golfers from beginner to professional.

A lot of time and money has been spent on the course since a new owner arrived three or four months ago. There are a lot more staff,access to the course is more secure having to report to office before playing.A new head course maintenance manager and many more staff are manicuring the course,laying new drainage.The necessity to pre book has mesant less waiting time on the tee. Only draw back is that there appears to be many more dog walkers walking all over the fairways without looking with dogs off the lead.They do not keep to the proper designated pathways and there is a danger of players accidently hitting a dog walker or their pets.

Course was really wet to the point where I lost 5 balls on the fareways in mud, no signage between holes left me lost on 2 occasions and other golfers asking me for directions. Obviously I would know my way around next time but was slightly embarrassing. A map of the course on the scorecard would have made a big difference

The course has been improved a great deal,rough kept to a minimum.The greens are reduced in size as are the fairways and it can become quite wet. Be careful not to hit the numerous dog walkers.Greenkeepers and staff are friendly and helpful and there is a good cafe.

well kept tree lined course interspersed with ditches - some quite wide - on several holes which require careful planning of club use when approaching.This makes it a challenging course which means quite a variation in scoring.

this muni is always a pleasure to play and always in good nick last 4 holes are not easy with the 17 par 3 over a ditch always causes a few problems with club selection

Not bad at all. Great value for money. In good condition, even after a night of heavy rain.Only criticism relates to a couple of the pathways from green To tee - muddy, could do with some gravel or something similar.
Greens in good condition.

Nice parkland course
I last played this course over 30 years ago. On my recent visit I was pleased to find the course much better than I remembered it. It's a nice parkland course with some challenging holes. Greens were in good condition.Can't comment on club facilities as it was closed due to social distancing.
