I can see why this could be tricky with any wind
A perfectly still day meant there was no course protection and as rough cut back, just keep it relatively straight and the score will be good as it was for me today. Just needed a bit of course management to have been even better. Love the layout and the views, though those were a bit misty today but, thankfully, no rain.(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 83 Handicap: 15.6)

Great View of the Sea
Up on the top of Brighton near the Marina, view are great. Course in great shape. Some quirky twists and turns on the course, but worth a visit. Good halfway hut.(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 92 Handicap: 15.3)

Much better after a bit of rain
Course is looking lush and ball is not running away from you. Greens a little on the slow side but very true. Fairways have a few drier bits but you will be unlucky to find them. On the whole in very good nick. Club house and chaging rooms going through a bit of a refurb at the moment.(Round played: Oct 2020 - Score: 85 Handicap: 15)

Always a pleasure to play - wind makes it tricky
Being on the South Downs means that the wind and Chalk surface keeps this course playable all through the winter. Given its faily open and meandered up and down a couple of valleys drainage is good and wind has a huge part in how well you score. Particularly windy thay day....very tricky. Greens in good nick and fairways as well.Reviewer Rating

Great course....windy!
This was our first time playing East Brighton golf course. Very compact course but was in amazing condition. Greens were so fast & dry. It was very windy which made it a real challenge. Will play again....& prey it's not as windy!!!Reviewer Rating

Proper Links course
Course playing fast with greens slightly slower than would be expected. Bunkers look OK and powdery but 1/2 inch down quite compact. Improvement since last time, the 9th green has now been "healed"(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 90 Handicap: 15.7)

Club Championships - Dry but greens well watered and a tad slow
Great contrast considering no rain for 4 weeks. Fairways dry and running but greens well watered and receptive. Bunkers indifferent. Many patches of GUR but did not really affect the golf. Shame I could not keep the ball straight or on the course for most of the holes. MT showed how easy it was if ball kept straight. 2+ 1st 9.(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 88 Handicap: 16.3)

Great course, well worth the special rate
Great course. Proper liks with great views over the South Downs. Bunkers ropey but a lot are GUR at present. Grees very true and quick.A couple of holes you need to have played before to know where to hit from the tee but a pleasure to play. Would not like to play on a windy day as with all links courses, exposed. Will be back if price is right.(Round played: Dec 2017 - Score: 87 Handicap: 15.1)

Warm friendly welcome. Course needs some tlc and greens had just been hollow tined and were a bit woolly.
