I was invited to Invitation Day recently after not having played the Drift for some eighteen months. As soon as I drove in through the gates the course looked fantastic, beautifully mowed and very inviting. I was not disappointed from the first-tee some minutes later. The tees, fairways and the greens were in excellent condition, though driving the ball straight is clearly a must when playing the Drift. Tree-lined and very pleasant to walk down with a great range of fauna and flora to catch the eye. An escape from the busy Surrey roads nearby in to a haven of peace and quiet. A great 18th hole to finish on as it falls down to the inviting clubhouse beyond. An excellent Pro-shop and very helpful staff combined with excellent food and beer in the clubhouse afterwards left with a strong desire to return and experience it all over again soon.

TBIS Society
Recently visited The Drift with the TBIS society with 24 players and the feedback we got from the group was how impressed they all were with not only the course but the hospitality we received. From start to finish The drift looked after us with a good breakfast, range balls, and even the half way house welcome from the gentleman inside that when above and beyond to make sure we all had a great day. The course was immaculate and beautiful at the same time, and will only get better once the work is completed on the 9th hole. The TBIS would highly recommend The Drift, and Im sure we will be back very soon.

The Drift
As ever the weather played a significant part in the day. Dry, warm and slight breeze. The course like many is suffering from lack of water but not the greens. A straightforward course and reasonably flat but with some challenges. Fantastic facilities for parking, practice and club house.Reviewer Rating

Enjoyable parkland course
Fairways lined with trees and intelligent bunker positions. Greens were in great condition for any time of year, especially good as we played in March. Some of the par 3's were long and challenging. New Trackman driving range now open which looked great. We'll play Drift again.(Round played: Mar 2022 - Score: 99 Handicap: 19.2)

Downpour just b4 we played
However, course drained reasonably well. Few puddles, grens very resceptive no roll from height but still reasonably slick. Tee boxes, sanded and a little lop-sided. Few flat lies. Baunker very wet but no standing water. Very difficult to get out of. Most holes fairly straight and tree lines but not always thick and plenty of width afforded the average golfer. Overall, would play again.(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 92 Handicap: 15.6)

Excellent course
I've played the Drift many times and have never been disappointed. Although the weather was iffy and some construction works going on around the first tee, it was another thoroughly enjoyable outing. The course was in great shape, as always and the service around the club superb

NIce, but......
This is an ok course. Winds it's way though some nice countryside. But, there's no wow factor at all. No signature hole that we could pick out. It's a bit samey for most of the holes. When we played it the greens were soaking wet and the fairways weren't giving any run. Despite there not having been that much rain in the days before. A bit worrying for when winter comes.
We got a good welcome in the bar and the food was very good.

Tight course
The course was in fantastic condition just really narrow fairways. I suffered as I was a bit wayward off the tee box. Greens are challenging but true and in excellent condition. Club selection will be key.(Round played: Jun 2018 - Score: 93 Handicap: 18)

Course was in a good condition despite overnight heavy rain. Facilities are good with an excellent driving range. Staff were helpful and courteous. Pro shop staff were very helpful with a well stock shop.
The course layout is very good, with tight fairways making for a great round of golf.
Overall a very good we'll run club.
