What the club says: The course was designed by Neil Coles and Brian Hugget and opened for play in 1976. Whilst it is not a long course by modern standards, the combination of tree lined fairways and the succession of water holes makes it a particularly challenging course. Playing to your handicap is a real achievement at Silvermere.Read our full review

Most Helpful Review
Played here in under the blazing sun today for a mere 15 Pounds. The course is in great condition. I have seen some negative comments with regard to the greens here, but have to say they were absolutely superb today; lightening fast and smooth, and very difficult to master. Fairways were likewise excellent. The course may be beautiful, but it is not to be taken lightly. Tree lined, narrow fairways on the first few holes demand straight driving, and whilst the back nine is more open, there are hazards galore. The signature 17th and 18th make up the best finish to any course I have ever played, and one which will punish the slightest lapse in concentration. The facilities are also excellent; a huge shop, nice range, several practice greens and a great bar overlooking the lake and the 17th and 18th. Food was also great. All in all, one of my favourite courses and a must play if you are in the area. Comes highly recommended, but not for the faint of heart. The course gave me by far the worst mauling I have had all year, but I will still be back.

Played here in sunny conditions in June. Amazing huge pro-shop with helpful staff.
The two-tier driving range with shot-tracer was great fun to start where we had our Longest Drive competition before we teed off.
The course was in great condition. Fast and smooth greens, very receptive and undulating. Fairways were excellent.
The course is amazing, but don't be fooled into thinking it is easy.
Accuracy off the tee is key with tree-lined, narrow fairways where it is very difficult to position yourself with a flat lie.You willl need to have a good score going before you play the 17th & 18th holes, as both with shots over water can wreck any score card.
Both holes are beautiful to the eye but are fraught with danger.
Facilities afterwards were excellent, great food, nice balcony by the 18th green watching others splash it into the water!!!
Golf day organisers were so hopeful too.
One of the best courses to play in the South and a must visit.

Great course but they let a 5 ball play on the course. The round was very slow. I was in a 2 ball and had to wait on the tee box for every hole. I told a marshal on the course and he didn?t do anything about it.
As far as a pay and play golf course this is the best one around! The variety of holes is outstanding and the finishing holes are incredible. You’ll struggle to find a better course.
Lovely challenging course, highly recommend , will be back again , the last 2 holes are class
