Nice course, worth playing
Played Dean Wood on one of their open days, great value. Friendly welcome in pro shop and clubhouse. The course is quite impressive with some visually stunning holes from elevated tees. Some tricky par 3s especially 15th and 16th. Good layout with variety of holes. A little up and down in places but not exhaustive. Greens true and good speed. Will be back next year for sure.(Round played: Sep 2018 - Score: 81 Handicap: 5.2)

Hadn't played here in a few years. still a lovely course, with two contrasting 9's. Great condition for the time of year and given the weather. some very small greens on the back 9 which is a big test.

Very pleasant course in good condition the back 9 is far more picturesque and challenging than the front 9.

A classic James Braid Layout
You cant go wrong chosing to play a James Braid design course. Great design, a little hilly in places. Very friendly and welcoming.(Round played: May 2017 - Score: 98 Handicap: 20.7)

Played Deanwood in the open today, clubhouse was great everything you need and staff friendly and welcoming, the guy organising it was helpful and did a great job today. Course condition good a few patches here and there but fairways and tees in very good condition for this time of year. First 9 flat with room for error although out of bounds come into play on a few holes the course is quite open and managed to swerve out of bounds by playing to the opposite side of the hazard, back 9 the course is completely different some tough tee positions and tight fairways with a couple of blind holes, some greens are small table top type and tough to hit it's a real test of your course managent and accuracy off the tee is a must, really good day and definitely would play again handicap 16 score 75

A great in land course with a challenge for all golfers and excellent greens.
A warm welcome to all and a picturesque hidden gem by James Braid over 90 years ago.
Quite tight in areas making shot shaping and course planning imperative.
Front 9 is flat but the back 9 is more raised tees and greens making it a course of 2 halves.
Make your score on the front 9 and keep hold of it on the back 9. Excellent day out.

A hidden gem of a parkland course in nice surroundings and kept in great condition.
The greens were as good as I have seen anywhere this year, even now in October.
A true and fair test of golf for all. The front 9 is relatively flat and you can make a score to keep hold of on the back 9 which is very picturesque with some raised tees and inviting greens.
Can't wait to play it again. a warm welcome in the clubhouse is given by all who are properly dressed golfers. Five star Excellent Food and beverage.

First 9 was much more enjoyable, difficult back 9 with lots of tough hills to contend with. Still has winter tees in March but greens played well and overall a good round of golf.
