The front 9 holes let the course down and that you have to give way on the tee at several holes. The course was not full but we did have to wait on a several holes.

Course in pretty good condition. Greens were quite slow and varied in pace. Always a good course for a round of golf.

Very pleasant course in good condition the back 9 is far more picturesque and challenging than the front 9.

First 9 was much more enjoyable, difficult back 9 with lots of tough hills to contend with. Still has winter tees in March but greens played well and overall a good round of golf.

Played a Seniors Open on 7th August. One of the best courses I've ever played! Tee-beds, fairways and greens in superb condition.
Every hole has a different challenge to offer. I can't sing the praises of this course enough. HOWEVER, catering leaves a great deal to be desired! It took over 30 mins from order to delivery for a bacon barm and a coffee - and this wasn't just me - many players complained of this. I was going to organise a society day out here for next year, but this kind of service has put me off!
My overall rating would have been excellent but for this.

Course was a bit wet after all the rain we've had, but stood up very well. Greens ran very true and still quite quick.

Hadn't played here in a few years. still a lovely course, with two contrasting 9's. Great condition for the time of year and given the weather. some very small greens on the back 9 which is a big test.

A classic James Braid Layout
You cant go wrong chosing to play a James Braid design course. Great design, a little hilly in places. Very friendly and welcoming.(Round played: May 2017 - Score: 98 Handicap: 20.7)
