Considering last year the course had severe green damage it was very playable. 6th and 16th still difficult due to water. 19th hole Par 3 replaced 9th hole which was under repair was challenging

I join this club in june and in just two months the greens have come on leaps and bounds. the driving range and pratice area are very good. You dont have to get driver out on every hole and you have to put your ball in the correct position to get to some tough pin positions.

Friendly staff played two days 1st day by buggy 2nd day carried we had a lovely two days with my sons in a fourball. The greens were great! Fairways a bit long but expected this time of year. Course became challenging on the back nine or could be me flaking.

Lovely course. Narrow and lots of trees but reasonably flat and well k

Very pretty course and in great condition for the last weekend in November. Pace of play was good with 10 min tee off intervals. All greens were excellent.
End of course shoe and trolley compressed air cleaner out of order for the whole weekend. Not ideal late November with all the mud. Need to get this sorted asap and also provide a stiff broom to clean off equipment and shoes in these winter conditions before going to the bar or loading up the car.
Well done to all the green keepers. Great job ????. We will be back.

Excellent round of golf was bad. The course is challenging with some tricky holes but these make it worthwhile and add to the experience

Never disappoints

We have been to Dunston Hall as a society a few times and it never disappoints. This year was our 20th anniversary for our society so we went back to the place that suits our needs the best. The course it challenging enough without being too difficult for the higher handicaps. Considering the poor weather this year the course was in tip top conditions. The greens were true and at a decent pace but the bunkers were inconsistent where sand is concerned. The Bunkers Bar behind the 1st tee is a great time to spend time before and after your golf. Food is available but the kitchen is shut by 15:00 so you need an early tee time for a meal afterwards. It is the perfect place for societies to spend their time away from the hotel guests that might not be amused by noise and banter.

Great trap

We were made welcome and shown to the changing rooms. The course was in very good condition and play was to a reasonable pace. The bar was reasonable too. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Winter golf

Had our first game here in January and the course was in fairly good condition ( a bit wet in places but greens still quick. Unfortunately the bunker bar was closed so couldn't get a drink or a bite too eat afterwards, but still a good price.
