If I'm honest not my favourite of the De Vere course but still a tough track. The one thing you have to be is straight as its very narrow but I don like how the course is layed out, it's not just blasting a driver down the fiarway all the time, it's very much a thinkers course. Would still recommend you play here.

Poor bunkers

Have played her several times before but we were dissapointed with the condition of the bunkers(weeds, stones, soil) and lack of water in ball cleaners.

Lovely course but poor condition

I think it?s probably the poor weather but the course was in poor condition waterlogged and the fairways very sticky so hit it even slightly fat and it?s not going far. Better off in the light rough where there was a bit of grass.
Tee boxes were well forward of the normal places - obviously trying to preserve the tees. This shortened the course a lot.
There were also the dreaded mats on a lot of tees too.
This is expected but if this is the case then the green fees should have been drastically reduced -?10 at most do this was poor value for money.
Putting surface was very good considering.
Expect the clubhouse to be dear. ?3.30 for a basic coffee. ?6.50 for a chicken baguette which was a bit stale.
Don?t let this put you off though as this is a good test with thought needed in every tee. You can?t bkast away with your driver every time.
Lots of water. Bunkers have very little sand but again this was the weather
In a couple of months I would hope it will be back to its best which is an interesting, pretty golf course .

Course had significant maintenance going on. Par 5s cut in half distance wise. Overall was ok but nothing amazing and prefer others that are local to it in the Norwich area

expensive for what is in fact a fairly ordinary course. £25 per buggy and £25 per player - on 'offer' usually £45 each - buy a two go free voucher on ebay if you want to play a devere course to make a significant saving

Played Dunston Hall today on the GTour. It is a lovely setting for a golf course but such a shame the golf course doesn't live up to it.

The fairways are shocking!! worst I've played for sometime. Greenside bunkers had very little sand in them, more like the amount you would find in a fairway bunker.

The greens weren't that bad to be fair.

It is tight with lots of trees and not too many "smash it and hope" holes.

I'd play it on the GTour again but wouldn't on any other occasion unless the condition improves.

Boggy but Great Design

Had a round here while I was staying close by on a weekend away. The staff were great in the club house and the range was well equipped. On the course there were some holes which were fine, but some were a real mud bath, especially the 15th. However, we've had some real wet weeks recently so this is expected. Very tight on some holes so Driver was only used a couple of times. I would love to come back and play in the summer when its dry as it would play completely different and the greens would really have some bite!

Nice course

Even though large groups from Hotel were playing the round was very comfortable. Only let down by being ignored by bar staff when trying to order a coffee before the round.

Better in Summer?

To be fair we played in January and it was wet! Some strong holes but probably best played in the "dry" season.

Lush course

Found the course well kept with a need to make accurate shots. Many of the holes are short but with sharp doglegs and the need to lay up make it a great challenge. Be prepared to lose balls in the water! Enjoyed the course, pro shop staff warm and friendly, however the Spike Bar was understaffed with one young girl trying to serve, waitress and clear tables who wasn\'t coping. The odd menu was also excessively overpriced.
