What the club says: Eaton Golf Club, founded in 1910, is situated and signposted just off the A11 Newmarket Road, Norwich. Such is the beauty and tranquility of Eaton Golf Course that it is difficult to believe you are less than 2 miles from the centre of that fine city, Norwich.
Eaton “a members club” has been described in the golfing press as “the hidden gem” and “a golfing oasis”. To those regular golfers in East Anglia it is well known as one of the finest 18 hole courses in the region. It requires little effort to discover our lovely course as it is so accessible.

Nice course and layout. Players don't let you through despite losing 20minutes, pace reminders and no one ahead. A shame, it spoils the round. Staff were great.

Worth a visit.
Lovely, picturesque course with some challenging holes.Quite a walk compared to others due to its layout so bear that in mind.
I will definitely be back.

Improved Course
I hadn't played Eaton for a few years despite it being one of the best Parkland courses in Norfolk. I was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful and helpful changes that have been mad to the layout during my absence. It has always been a very good course and the changes made have increased the enjoyment of playing what is an interesting set of holes keept in super condition.Reviewer Rating

City Oasis
Having just moved to Norfolk I was looking for a well kept, challenging and friendly golf club. I found it at Eaton. Don’t be put off by driving through a housing estate or your first view of the boxy fronted clubhouse. The clubhouse opens into quirky, sunny bar where I was met with a friendly welcome from the bar steward who took the time to show me round the club and facilities. The woodland course is a welcome green, tree-lined oasis on the edge of Norwich with true running greens and some of the best kept bunkers I have experienced. There are even some hills here to add further variation to a well laid out course. I have been welcomed into this members club and felt comfortable and at home within no time at all. This course is such a nice little hide away. With a great challenging layout, if you go astray then your in trouble with mature trees and deep Bunkers waiting.

This was a very good course and we really enjoyed playing it. It was a shame that it was a cold day and we where play temps. We thought they could have opened up the greens later on but never did.

Testing course with tight fairways and 5 par 3's which can ruin your card. Only very minor complaints was that the greens were slow and the all-day breakfast didn't start until 10.30am!! Otherwise fabulous and the staff very welcoming.

Excellent parkland course. Mature trees, well placed bunkers, challenging
par 3's, narrow fairways. There are no water hazards. Well maintained fairways and greens.

We had a great time. Staff and members were so friendly and welcoming and the course was in fantastic condition. They have done some great improvements last year with apparently more planned. Can't wait, we will be back.

Really is the friendly golf club. Excellent condition considering the recent rain. Could do with some more defined cutting around greens and edge of fairways but can see potential for the drier months. A thinking mans course, grip it and rip it not the best play on all the holes, positioning and keeping it straight are a must or else some interesting second shots. Cannot wait to return when the sun is shining. Helped that had an excellent game.
