What the club says: A 6,275 yard, par 71 USGA rated course which beautifully contours around the estate. Magnificent parkland fairways dotted with trees and strategically placed bunkers, plus a 22 bay floodlit driving range. This is golf at its best.
What Golfshake says: Narrow, tight, accurate and any other words you wnat to use for needing to be straight especially on the front nine. Your card could be wrecked by the turn. Nice weekend stay available.

Boggy but Great Design
Had a round here while I was staying close by on a weekend away. The staff were great in the club house and the range was well equipped. On the course there were some holes which were fine, but some were a real mud bath, especially the 15th. However, we've had some real wet weeks recently so this is expected. Very tight on some holes so Driver was only used a couple of times. I would love to come back and play in the summer when its dry as it would play completely different and the greens would really have some bite!

Good course

Tricky Little Course, Great fun
A great little course and hotel. The course is relatively narrow and definitely favours accuracy over distance. Went here on a golf weekend and had a great time. Nice bar and clubhouse. The staff were excellent and really friendly. We all enjoyed it and would come back for more. Definitely worth a go.(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 117 Handicap: 36.3)

Great golf break
Dunston Hall is a challenging, yet pleasing round of golf. The first hole is a 'heartbreaker', a 90 degree dog leg left short par 4. The green surrounded by reed beds. After that you can regain confidence or continue to play more heartbreak golf. The greens are very green and a ball delivered from height will stay on the putting surface, take your pitch repairer with you. That said the greens are firm to putt. The fairways are a little scorched and threadbare, but good for fairway woods.

Dunston Hall Delight
Played this course as part of an annual golf trip, 2 nights and 3 rounds of golf.Very dry conditions but the course did not disappoint.
Very tight and tree lined with water abound and plenty of bunkers (some crater like), fast greens. Great course design and not one hole is the same, one or two longer walks between holes by overall the course is quite short, give the Driver a rest or only if you are chasing.
Great thought required and tough shots hitting approach shots from awkward lies. Would come again for sure.

Great course in great condition
Played this lovely course and was in great condition. The greens were really quick and fairways were nice. The staff were very polite and made you feel welcome. The 19th was always good too visit at the end of the round.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 86 Handicap: 12.6)

Nice course
Even though large groups from Hotel were playing the round was very comfortable. Only let down by being ignored by bar staff when trying to order a coffee before the round.(Round played: Oct 2019 - Score: 96 Handicap: 25.6)

OK
Nice enough parkland layout with plenty of mature trees and some water in play. Not overly long but needs thought.(Round played: Aug 2019 - Score: 98 Handicap: 21.7)

nice
a very nice place only thing if there is a car event golfers get stuck in over fill car park which would be good if you play back 9 first nice course some challenging holes(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 108 Handicap: 25.6)

Keep on the Straight and Narrow
Beautiful, well maintained parkland course in an English country estate. Many contours, ponds and specimen trees to be admired.... and avoided!Just 5663 yards from the yellows but the defences are tight fairways, doglegs, some semi-blind tee shots and a lot of water. Good finishing stretch with two late par-5’s where frustration can be vented and and the downhill 16th (SI 1) where you cross a wooden bridge to the green. Excellent par-3 finale, again over water, surrounded by bunkers and with a false front to contend with, all gainst the backdrop of the stunning, if slightly ostentatious, Dunstan Hall Hotel.
Good course management will be rewarded with a good score but punishment awaits those who veer from the straight and narrow.
Perhaps that punishment is the price of drinks (£3.30 for coffee?) but my round was a bargain £15 on a Saturday afternoon, so It didn’t hurt too much. I’ll play here again if I’m near Norwich.
(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 76 Handicap: 8.1)

Lovely course in spring time.
