Played here after a wet winter, and the course was in a generally good condition. Most of the well cut fairways are forgiving, no violent doglegs, and the raised tees provide a good view of your ball as is tries to find the fairway. Greens in very good condition, a couple with challenging "bumpy" rides. I liked the use of little bushes as 150 yard markers (especially starting for the first time on the 1st), they are visible from a distance (see raised tees). The clubhouse is a small bar that serves as the proshop and is friendly all round. Played here for the first time on an Amazon Local deal, will come back.

Very quiet spot, decent views. Hardly anyone about midweek on a nice day. No pro shop, all handled through a public bar/café type set up. Range and putting green close, nice to see an academy par 3 course. Course very lush and a good test off the whites. Most holes well defined by mature trees. 12th is a fantastic hole, should be the 18th. Nice lakes in play.
Slight minuses. Greens a little over 6 on the stimp, overall condition of course no better than average. All but two par 4's are around 370 which gets a bit dull. Mounding is very articial. I'd open up some of the tougher tee shots and add a bit more definition around the greens. It does feel like your typical early 90's boom course, which is a bit short of cash, and members. That said, on such a quiet course I never feel it's a great idea to allow senior 4 balls off early, we did get held up.
If I had a spare couple of mill I'd be sorely tempted with this place, has a ton of potential. Its great value and a much better test than its neighbour Wyboston. Of the two, this is the one I will come back to.

great course, excellent value. played 2 rounds on a day ticket for £27 midweek.
only negative point was that a lot of bunkers were not in play, marked as GUR.

4 ball played 28.07.14. Really interesting and varied course, some trick skinny access from tees through to the fairway. 4 ball played 28.07.14. Greens were all in good conditions and ran true, fairways all well maintained, with the rough, rough enough, but not so bad that it makes you want to jump under a bus. Elevated tees on some holes were great, loved being able to see right along to the flags. Club house small, but warm and very welcoming. Will most definitely be visiting again.

Played today for first time. a very wet day. Standing water on fairways,in a lot of bunkers and on some greens. Touch and go if course should have been open I guess. Not the best day to assess it. Clubhouse small but adequate . Very friendly staff and the bacon roll was superb !! Will play again in better weather as some very interesting hole lay outs.

First visit

Played Colmworth, 4th Feb., for the first time at the recommendation of a friend. Great location and layout, friendly welcome and a good deal on price.
For the time of year, the fairways were in very good condition, only came across two places that were a little ?boggy?. Greens were a real pleasant surprise, some challenging ones, but overall, in fantastic condition for early Feb.
Booking again for this weekend, definitely recommend a visit.

Terrific parkland course, with 18 holes of very different degrees of difficulty, situated in some beautiful Bedfordshire countryside. Always a real pleasure to play, and always in great condition.

Wonderful Value

The course is in great condition, getting better each year as more improvements to drainage and additional tree planting take effect.
The welcome is as friendly as you will find anywhere and the value to both visitors and members is amazing.

Pleasant round

Nice little course in a lovely rural setting. Paired up with a friendly member and had a couple of beers afterwards in the very nice cafe/clubhouse area. The course was very dry and hard. Greens almost impossible to hold and a few par 3s had cross bunkers in front meaning that you are forced to bail out and accept a long second. 15th green is in very poor state but most of the others were fine. In all an enjoyable round but the course needs a little work to bring it up to scratch

Terrific parkland course, excellently maintained. A real pleasure to play with something for all standards! No residual water after all the torrential rain, the drainage is second to none.

Amazing

Just played Colmworth (I am a member) and the course is in amazing condition. Despite the constant downpours recently there wasn’t a drop of standing water anywhere on the course and fairways are lush. The greens are running beautifully so hats must go off to all the team who keep this course looking and playing so amazingly well. Also a warmer welcome in the clubhouse you will struggle to find.

First game back after pandemic break. The course is in excellent condition, fairways a pleasure to play off and greens playing beautifully. As always, Colmworth delivers, very busy, but tee times excellently spaced out, and only took our 3 ball 3 hours. A thoroughly enjoyable round.
