This is ok for a knockabout. The course is fun and interesting nothing distinguishes it. The greens are alright and seem to be mostly pearlwort-grass so they are a little bit the wrong side of soft and slow but they do hold a ball well. Not sure they have full-time gardeners on the course but there is sand on the greens so there are efforts to dry them out and smother all the weeds. The Pro Shop and Clubhouse staff were very good.

Hilly

Very hilly course, played in the winter so the greens were like rock solid.

This is a bomb-alley.

The course definition is faint and the whole place is untidy around the edges.

The greens are very VERY slow for early/mid October but some members reported the greenkeepers aren't fulltime so we might have been there on their day off.

Otherwise, a very nice sociable atmosphere and very polite and engaging staff around the ProShop and Clubhouse.

The greenkeeper left here maybe a year ago and I'm told the Club haven't replaced him yet. Consequently the course is generally untidy and the greens especially are very scuffy and thin.

Hopefully the Club will have someone in place by the springtime-17 and course conditions might improve because this could be a GEM. I last played Chipstead about 3yrs ago and it was infinitely better then.

The Club seems to have a market but it must be very local and loyal because there are several much better courses within just a few miles.

Good course with probably a few too many par 3s. Enjoyable but poor signage makes finding the next tee a bit difficult for those who haven't played here before!

The course was in good condition with the possible exception of bunkers and rough, but I am being picky. The course is not for me however as too hilly.

A tight members club that occasionally offers deals on the discount tee web sites. Squeezed into the lovely expensive houses of Chipstead this course is so tight there is a couple of shared fairways that you need to be mindful of. A well maintain course with a few local rules holes that you should be able to score well on.

Built around a hill and makes for some quirky holes as a result. A set of 3 crossing par 3s in a side meadow appear as an adjunct. Short course and requires thought rather than 'grip it, rip it'.
