Great course
Wide open course, good for beginners as it is very forgiving. Decent food if you get there early. Only issue is the the dog walkers, they come out of nowhere and they don’t pay attention to what is happening around them(Round played: May 2021 - Score: 116 Handicap: )

Dodge the dog walkers
Standing on the first tee waiting to hit our first shots and there are 3 people walking their dogs standing in the middle of the fairway chatting and had no intention of moving until we shouted. On the second of the Par 3s our last player went to hit his tee shot and two ladies just walked in front of the green without a care in the world so he set up to play again and another three then followed...Its so frustrating dogs everywhere on the front 9.The course is nice and challenging but just be prepared for the interruptionsReviewer Rating

Surprisingly good public course
Set in park/woodland meaning dog walkers and joggers are everywhere didn't detract from our round at all. Plus as the whole course is open to public like common land I was amazed at just how good the greens were. They were in brilliant condition. Also I've seen many provate courses with much worse fairways.
Although I didn't have the best round as it was a new course for me, I thoroughly enjoyed my round and would happily play there again.

Public course off Epping Forest
Played on two occasions, late winter and early summer. Both times minimal interaction with staff on arrival other than ?hello?, the course itself is parkland, few doglegs and blind tees, greens are fantastic and several have slopes that require precision. The main downside to this course is it is a public course and as such the course and several holes attract sunbathers at various points, dog walkers and general public with huge lack of awareness of their surroundings holding up play.
Tricky course to review, some def plus points but overall not probably one to enjoy consistently each time, a real lottery on pace of play and public interference,

Worth a round
I have played here admit 6 times. It would be nice for more facilities like ball washers and something to clean your shoes with afterwards, but it's a fairly good course, quite challenging. It's rustic - not many water features and the fairway was a little rough.(Round played: May 2020 - Score: 104 Handicap: 25.4)
