Course played really well, greens ran true but some greenkeepers continued moving whilst playing shots

Avoid the 9 hole. For some bizarre reason they have introduced football golf to the course. This means that you've got groups of kids running around and kicking footballs across the greens while you try to play golf. It's a real shame it's a nice little par three course but this has ruined it.

Hand't played here for ages but nipped round at twighligt for a tenner. Course in decent nick overall and well worth it. Nice mix of holes without being too testing. Greens pretty consistent but not that quick.

Very tidy 9 hole par 3 course. However a junior tournament started just before us. Whilst they were good standard, took us ages to get started.

Chelsfield Lakes is a quite a nice course, its average Length, The Par 5's are quite challenging. The Par 3's are relatively easy. All the dog legs head to the right which helps the fadersslicers. Unfortunately the recent weather had completely saturated the course, which was very boggy (I had a ball plug into the green about an inch in!).

Fair course for the average golfer

Plat weekly, always a different challenge, especially in winter when a couple of the fairways get boggy. But greenkeepers do a fantastic job - we never have to put up with temporary greens.

Considering all the recent rain the course was in very good condition. The bunkers were excellent with plentiful sand. For a public course it offers great hospitality and very good value. The pro shop is managed very well with extremely helpful staff and excellent tuition. Naturally there are more challenging and prestigious courses around but not at this price

Very friendly club

The staff are on the ball here. The course was in okay shape considering the amount of recent rain. That said I'm sure what they have put in the bunkers - sand it is not with the amount of stones in there - a shame.

Given the recent saturation the course held up well enough & fairways wet but playable. Greens on the slow side but no temps. The 10th made a par 3 & the back again was boggier but the mud was worst by the paths. Going to see how it plays in summer. Shockingly slow on a BH. Over 4&1/2 hours for a 2 ball. Not a thought to letting us play through. Awful
