Quirky, which can be really enjoyable however with a golf course like this with blind shots, massive slopes & undulations then you really need slow receptive greens. Lots of maintenance workers out there but all seemed to be focused on fairways and bunkers (which were good). Unfortunately the greens have got away from them and in parts was unplayable. Highly recommend a buggy

This is great value for money and during the week you can sometimes get millionnaire's golf if going out in the afternoon, as we did recently. Whilst the fairways are still recovering from the summer sun onslaught, they are doing so quickly. The greens were in great shape and lightening fast. Did not stay after golf on this occasions so cannot comment on the bar.

Recovering well

Fairways recovering well after the summer. Greens in good condition. Always welcoming. Challenging course despite the yardage. Good value for money.

Quite a short, but tight course, so not many opportunities for the driver. Greens were true, but solid and hard to stop the ball on. Quite a few holes have very challenging approaches to the greens with large slopes in and around the fringe. Overall a lot of fun

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Chartridge.
The welcome at the clubhouse and bar was very warm and friendly. The course itself in very good condition.
The holes themselves offered a variety of challenges and meant the round offered steady interst -and enjoyment.
A delightful afternoon.

Winter was Unkind

No problem with aerated greens which played better than expected & will be great. Discounted Green fees appreciated. Views too were very pleasant & a reasonable setting but fairways & rough could do with plenty of care & attention. It was a long drive from London & will probably go to other courses next time in the area. Nice Youngs beer but was told kitchen would be open. It wasn't.

Short but Challenging

Very wet day so course was a bit boggy in places but the greens stood up really well in these conditions and were a pleasure to putt on.

Lovely Location

I probably didn't see the course at its best, and it looked like it had suffered more than most through the hot summer we've been having. The greens, tees and fairways looked in need of rain, which is a shame as the course layout has lots of positives. The par 3's especially enhanced the experience, and the course itself is in a very scenic location.

The course appears to be on the side of a hill, so expect a few climbs and a number of sloping fairways. I have no idea how anyone is supposed to play the 5th hole without it running into the right-hand rough though.

In addition to the pleasant welcome in the pro-shop, there were quite a number of red kites following me around the course.
