Very nice and interesting championship course playing from the blue tees
The greens were good but with a bit of dew for the first 6 holes as the greenkeepers were unable to cut them until late due to the overnight frost.
The fairways were undulating and surprisingly firm for November - which was good as quite a few of the par 4's were over 400yrds
As mentioned in previous reviews, there is a lot of bunker refurbishment going on at the moment - however a lot of the bunkers are not really in play for the more accomplished golfer. It will be interesting to see if the club restores all the original bunkering as that will come with a hefty price tag.
The staff were all very welcoming and the practice facilities were first class - all in all a very enjoyable day

Course played well though very heavy rain the night before so sodden in places. Greens were in very good condition as is the course generally. Very good challenging par 3 island hole not for the faint hearted!

Played this course 12 years ago. It ranked as one of the best. Sorry to say bunkers are mainly gur those in play are very poor. Greens used to be fantastic. Now they are at best average. Whole course needs serious tlc. Very sad and disappointed. Still has the basis to be great again but I would not recommend playing here at the moment. Especially at the price of green fee. Club house and general facilities still good. But it's the course that really matters. Hope new owner puts in the money to restore this wounded lady.

course is in average condition, many bunkers GUR and greens aren't the best. Good facilitites

Just played Chart Hills off the Blue Tees [approx. 6500 yds] so a decent test for single figure handicaps, probably recommend more forward tees for mid/high to get full value - great to get a choice. Course in generally good condition for time of year.Greens that are undulating and true but not as quick as they look which was a bit odd. Loads of bunkers but as past reviewers have mentioned a high percentage are GUR - must be a nightmare to maintain and guess they maybe phasing out? All in all, a very pleasant experience on a testing track - would recommend to all golfers of all abilities if the correct tees are chosen .
