What the club says: Set in one of the most pleasant areas of Kent, close to the border with East Sussex, the course is a good test of golf. Strategically positioned mature trees and streams require accurate golf if good scores are to be returned. However, the club policy of keeping rough to a minimum allowing the tree lined fairways to provide added interest ensures a comfortable speed of play. Please pause to admire the views across the Weald from the 12th tee, the signature hole and the highest point of the course, before you take on the longest par 4 on the course at 471 yards. When on the par 3 18th, take in the atmosphere created by the secluded setting and tranquil surroundings comfortable in the knowledge, that what is to follow, is the relaxing welcome received in the clubhouse. With fine wines, real ale and good wholesome home cooked food.

Don’t bother
Played here last week and still in shock, the course is in a really bad state, totally bare fairways and the tees were small and uneven. A very short course not worth the green fee I paid. Lots of kids on the course that didn’t know what they were doing and the bar staff were rude and indifferent.Reviewer Rating

Very friendly club
Not particularly long but a nice mix of holes with some tight fairways to keep you interested. Well kept course, nice greens and good views of the Kent countryside.Reviewer Rating

Beautiful but tough when the wind blows
We got a windy day but the course was in good condition and whilst the golf wasn't our best, the views of the Kent countryside were lovely.Reviewer Rating

Nice course, hilly for a few holes, the 8th and 17th provide a challenge. Greens in good condition, 10th is particularly nice hole, blind tee shot over a couple of big trees down a slope to the green. Played a couple of times now, and it's one to be added to visit a few times a year. Not sure what it will be like in winter. The tee boxes could be improved but overall good.

Enjoyable course especially early on, plenty of interesting holes. Quite open in the main but the 40 mph wind gusts made it play far harder. Some blind holes need to be played again!

good course
Tee boxes were in a bit of a state but fairways and greens in good nick considering the time of year and a hard frost overnight.(Round played: Feb 2022 - Score: 90 Handicap: 17.4)

Awesome course, well kept
Really enjoyed our round at Tenterden. The course was in great condition and the greens were impeccable. A challenging course with some scenic holes. Definitely worth a visit.(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 88 Handicap: 17.7)

OK
Just an ok course,can get a bit boring. Certainly the slowest greens i have played in along time.some great holes like the 12th keep you going. Unfortunately silly holes like the 11th, the only shot you can play is a draw to a severe right to left slope !!! And the 17th, par 5 where you cant use driver off the tee but probably need it for your approach shot !!!. 1st and 18th both mediocre par 3s so not a good way to start and finish your round. Staff always very friendly. This review is my opinion, you might like it. Certainly played a lot worseReviewer Rating

Interesting course

a little bit quirky course
Too many reachable cross bunkers whhich can catch you if you're not made aware.lovely greens, some memorable par fours.

Nice course, very dry at the moment so plenty of run on fairways. Greens and bunkers in good nick. Many holes have ditches and OOB close at hand so can be quite perilous, but on the plus side not much rough to speak of. First few holes flat but later it gets quite hilly in places. Not the longest course but a good fair test.

Quirky worthwhile course
Nice to play this course for first time.It is Quirky due to using the land well, high greens with elevated tee boxes.
Test for all levels with good mixture of lengths of holes

Quirky & Fun
Played here whilst staying locally with work.Really enjoyable round on a well kept course.
A few holes i'd play differently if I went back.
The greens were great and fairways wern't too tight meaning you can open up on a few holes.
There are some steep hills and approach shots onto raised greens which made the cpourse fairly tough but also enjoyable.
A good walk.
Overall I would go back if back in the area!

Testing greens

Well kept Challenging course
Very relaxed and friendly club for our society golf day. Great outlook from the clubhouse over the 1st tee and 18th green. The course is in great condition with some tricky and long holes. The greens were challenging sometimes hard to read(makes think out your putts) overall a great golf course.(Round played: Jun 2017 - Score: 98 Handicap: 22.4)

Very accommodating and lovely course
Thanks Tenterden, we had a lovely Sunday afternoon round - unhurried and in lovely countryside surroundings. Fairways and greens well kept and played well. Greens were viscously fast.(Round played: Jun 2017 - Score: 105 Handicap: 26)
