What the club says: Hailed as one of the finest recently-built golf courses in England, Chart Hills is the British architectural debut of six times Major winner, Nick Faldo. Set on 200 acres of gently undulating Kentish hills, Chart Hills was officially opened for play in August 1993 and despite its relative youth in golfing terms has earned something of a reputation when it comes to hosting championship golf.

Boggy and wet
All fairways were very wet and flooded in places, greens in poor condition too. Course should not have been open....BUT we was told it was in good condition!Wont be going back anytime soon.

Great course in great condition. There is something to think about on every hole, whether that's slope, water or bunkers. A real challenge.Reviewer Rating

Good day all round
As usual the course was in really good condition and played wellStaff were very helpful
And they listened about the breakfast menu from last time we were there as they had 2 full English back on the menu, the only downside was that we were given 2 types of tomato as I assume they run out of baked beans ????

Not worth £100 a round
Yes work has been done to it but the tee boxes are all dead grass lumpy and look awful...the fairways are ok but dead grass in lots of places considering how much money and time they put it in to the course it's not great...the layout Is fabulous some great holes and the greens are slick and smooth...played on a Tuesday afternoon course empty ????...there is better courses in Kent that cost a lot less £100 is ridiculous for a round Their it's a £60 course no more ....clearly the owners trying to recoup the costs and tbh whatever they did hasn't worked very well at all ..I've played the course prior to the renovation and honestly couldnt tell the difference unfortunately..I would not recommend this course for that price ????Reviewer Rating

A very difficult Course with lots of hazards. Must stay on the fairways as the rough is very long and almost impossible to play out of. A real golfers golf courseReviewer Rating

This course we played here yesterday was told they was doing us a favour letting us have the round for £30. Walked off after 9 holes 7 of the fairways didn’t have a no grass on them. Might of played over a field. Would never step back here again. This is the first bad review I’ve left on golf-shakes we should have really had a full refund.

Not too sure how they are getting away with charging people £45 a round.
They have a lot of work to do if they want to charge £65 a round in the summer.

Expect to play from bunkers!
Surprised that on a pleasant Thursday afternoon we had the place to ourselves. Great course, challenging layout and very well bunkered gives a true but fair test of your golf game.Reviewer Rating

my back garden is better
Needs money to be put in. The Service is awful. The greens run like my back garden. Sand in the bunkers are solid builders sand. I could fall in the cracks on the fairways. Range looks disgusting. A terrible unused pitching green. Just awfulReviewer Rating

Not great
Not a great experience. Quite simply, the grass needs cutting. Winter rules in play still as fairways bare and patchy in places so to compensate they haven't cut any grass so all the good parts are like semi rough. Made this long course very hard work. No "next tee" signage was tedious. No yardage signs frustrating. Whole course felt unloved. It is also a 5 hour slog even if u play quickly. No wonder it is struggling.Reviewer Rating

Fair but challenging course
Second time I've played this course and enjoyed it both times. Key feature of the course is the abundance of bunkers so if you hate sand - avoid! But otherwise the layout is always interesting and the course caters for all level of handicap. Only criticism is that I was disappointed at the lack of signage to indicate the direction to some holes or even the number of the hole you are playing. For a course of this calibre I think this would be a good addition. Even better a small board showing the layout of the hole on each tee-box.Reviewer Rating

Enjoyable afternoon
The course was in a better overall condition than last year when they were doing some considerable work, especially on the bunkers. The greens were a bit bobbly which I assume is due to something they'd done.(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 99 Handicap: 26)

Second time I have played chart hills and played there on a four ball deal, bunkers have been refurbished work seems to taking place on the fairways, but the greens need attention. Staff as ever very good, club house superb. I believe with a bit more further work this will be a top course again.(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 81 Handicap: 5.3)
