Great public course in heart of Edinburgh. Not too challenging, but some interesting views and good views of the castle.

pretty good course with good layout. the course is also flat which does help with fitness.

Not the most inviting entrance to the course having to dodge the potholes on the road in.
Friendly welcome.
Greens were best part of the course and they weren't really anything to shout home about but were OK. Tees and bunkers were poorly maintained and fairways looked to be in need of thickening as ball appeared not to sit up too well. A flat course that will suit many and not too long so gives most handicaps a chance to score reasonably. Won't be running back to this one but nevertheless an enjoyable day.

Fairaway nd greens was very good today more then council standard.friendly staff.

Carrick Knowe is a shorter course with a few challenging tree holes. Nice flat course where you can come close to the greens on some drives. The greens are smooth and the par 3's a nice challenge.

The holes here are quite straight, so it is pretty forgiving (as long as you can hit the ball fairly straight, you'll be fine). Good for a beginner, not too hard.
