Played here for years... Even more so during "Covid Times". The course is in pretty poor condition at present but getting better. Not ammused by the Tees... The Tee markers are alway squint and on slopes/hilly lies... Whoever places these obviously doesn't play golf. The prices are expensive for membership now. £56 for a 7 day membership. Could probably join a private club for that. The course is not good enough for the prices paid... Well below the standard of a decent private course. It's local for me and the only reason I play it regularly.Reviewer Rating

A great public course that is great for beginners. Lots of nice long par 4s with wide and long fairways. Few hazards

Played today autumn round, lots of trees and leaves, nightmare if you ended up in rough, will play again

Carrick Knowe Golf course is very pleasant to play on. Few difficult holes with bunkers and trees in the way, which always make the game more than interesting. Players around are often pleasant too and always walk past few dog walkers as we play.

Heard it was a decent course but the 8 of us agreed it was in very poor condition.The 17th had a twig for a pin and the green was the worst i have ever seen.Won't be back

Council course so dont expect too much. The course wasn't in great shape when we visited - and there are no real 'facilities' to speak of.
