The greens aren't consistent at all, bunkers had a thin layer of sand and many bunkers had lots of stones in them. the club has very old fashion and outdated standards, you can't wear soft golf shoes or a hat in the club house, the staff implement these rules in an abrupt and rude manor. Not enough buggies, and some of the buggies weren't in use as they hadn't even been charged.

Nice course, ignorant members!
The course: Good layout and kept very well. A number of dog legs which makes you think about tee shots and placement. Greens in good condition and run true. Not much water on the course but some strategically placed bunkers.Members: Ignorant and arrogant. We was a two ball, non-members, playing for the first time. Three groups of four ball members in front of us playing matches. Refused to let us play through even though we were on the tee with the group in front on every hole. This made for an extremely long round and an undesirable experience. For this reason we would not return to play here. Not etiquette of speeding play up and a flat refusal to let a two ball through a four ball. Shocking.

Was looking forward to playing as course is rated 9th best in Essex. Slightly underwhelmed, course not in particularly great shape, greens extremely slow and bumpy.

We had a society here on the 22.04.17 . I was a little disappointed with the course as felt it looked in need of some TLC . Used to be a fantastic course but I felt it was now just ok . Food was excellent .

Average Course good condition some good holes and boring holes would rate this course 5/10 over priced at £33 mid week but take 241 vouchers on day rate for £20 each during the week which is the right value.

Town course, good setup
plays around harlow town industrial area and railway, sounds worse than it is, some lengthy holes though fine similar, not a huge challenge to be had, the last few holes let down being adjacent to housing where dog walkers and children roam everywhere paying no regard to it being a golf course, perhaps fence it off?! Here on a society day. Good course with plenty of variety. Fairways are pretty dry in places with a few cracks but greens were decent and had obviously been looked after. Decent clubhouse and bar. Food was a bit mixed with catering having gone in house same day we were there so may need a bit of time to bed in. Worth playing if you're in the area.

New green keeper , greens very slow some fast I putt well but could not judge these greens for speed. Only 6 buggies. ?35 all day. Very strict in club house ,No hat No spikes even soft golf shoes a bit strict if you want to attract golfers. Not much grass on the fairways links type.
