The course is moderately challenging with a reasonable undulating walk. It's kept in great condition.

Brilliant Day
Have been going for a number of years and have always had a great reception, great food and the course ain’t bad either. No I jest the course was in great condition, with sufficiently challenging holes for all handicaps.In all a great day

Big improvements
Played Canons Brook for first time in years and must say that it has improved from my last visit. Really well looked after and the greens were in great condition. Will definitely be returning sooner this time.Reviewer Rating

Enjoyable round
We have played a few rounds during the week starting at 5pm and have had the course pretty much to ourselves. The course is in generally good condition. It is relatively long but the fairways are wide so is a great driving course. At £20 a round it is also fantastic value.Reviewer Rating

One of the best in Essex
The course is in great condition, a good test for all standard of golfs, the food will fill you up,(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 84 Handicap: 11.4)

Challenging but Enjoyable
Great course. Challenging layout, makes you think. Some very pretty holes, you would not believe you were in a large town(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 110 Handicap: 28)

Excellent
As always the staff and facilities in the clubhouse were excellent and the course was in very fine condition. Weather was brilliant as well. What more could you want from your day out(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 97 Handicap: 22.4)

Enjoyable challenge
This course has improved immeasurably following ownership change and is now a pleasure to play. Quite long with some challenging holes, but good wide fairways give a chance to score well if you keep straight. Tees, greens & bunkers were all much better than I had expected to find here and staff I saw were all very courteous. I’m a member at another golf club but also like to try different courses. Head greenkeeper Damien seemed genuinely pleased I had chosen to play his course.... well, I have already booked to return!(Round played: May 2018 - Score: 83 Handicap: 11.3)

Played this course a few times now and is getting better and better. A good test of golf. The removal of some large trees on some holes has improved the course.

Played the course a lot over recent years and it is improving every time I play it. Challenging course for all levels but fair. Nice welcoming clubhouse and members. There are deals to be had on green fees. The guide on here is way out for what is available. Worth a visit.
