Real Surprise

First time played here and was wonderful. Some really lovely interesting holes and very scenic outlook as its out in country. First nine are pretty much on level but second nine you defo need your climbing gear as its very hilly. but hey. it only ads to the interest.

Lovely course with some elevated Tees and greens. Some very nice part 3's. Quite forgiving off the tee. We had a voucher, don't think I'd pay full price.

Course is I. Great condition, tees, fairways and greens all very nice throughout. front 9 is played on the lower part of the course, back 9 much more hilly, not quite sure why this is, surely swapping them round might make it seem less of a walk up the 11th? Front 9 probably more forgiving, a couple of tighter drives on the back 9 but on the whole the course is very fair.

Course in good condition and good value for money when played early in the year as greens were all on. Very friendly staff and some good deals on clothing in the pro shop.

Excellent course layout with lots of interesting holes. Would recommend playing and also grabbing some food in the clubhouse.

I am a junior member at this club. The staff are friendly but there are a few loudmouths as you get at every course, the clubhouse is a big welcoming clubhouse. The coarse is in good condition for there only being a few greenkeepers but the greens are patchy and inconsistent. The flys in the sommer time will drive you round the bend so you should bring spray.

Lovely parkland course in Ayrshire about 6 miles inland from Girvan. Well kept and usually quiet, but lacks bins & hole details on some of the Tees.

Usually plenty of room on the fairways, but quite a few holes feature water, so plenty to watch out for!

For 2006 its £30 a round weekdays, but 2 for 1 if you have a Greenfee Saver
