Breightmet GC straddles the borders of Bolton and Bury in Greater Manchester. It is an 18-hole, par 72 parkland course established in 1911. A friendly, private club that is warmly open to the public.

Played this course on a Monday, very quiet, at times felt had the course to myself. Friendly welcome in pro shop. Clubhouse was closed though (think it is just Mondays). Course in good condition given recent wet weather. Fairways lush. Greens had been spiked but still played true. A few gentle climbs on the course but not a hard walk around. Some nice holes with elevated tees. Great value for money for sure, worth a round if not played there before.

Good long course,there are some pretty difficult long holes and a few tough par three,s,but overall a good course to play,would recommend a visit.

a very testing course and to me a hard course on foot(get a buggy) other than that a very good course with a friendly atmosphere

An excellent course spoiled by the poor condition of the greens (apparently caused by sprinkler failure during the recent dry spell). The course was immaculate and a pleasure to play on despite the torrential downpours.

Very good course. Good length with testing but not unnecessarily penal course. Greens being treat at the moment and need some water.
