I don't really have much positive to say about the course. The greens are so fast and slopey it's like playing crazy golf. Combined ridiculous pin placements and the condition of the course, all in all it wasn't a pleasant 5 hours, even if it was free! The course just seems to be the same repetitive holes back and forward on hills with the exception of some holes where you take your life in your own hands as fairways cross.
Finally, least said about the catering the better. Let's just say the art of making rice pudding is certainly lost on those in the kitchen.

Probably played the course at it's worst time. It was extremely wet and very boggy in places. A course I would imagine in the summer, that tests golfers of all levels.

Really friendly course but not a parkland as suggested in some descriptions. Back nine opens up but is a little bit backwards and forwards. Some nice holes though and they make everybody feel very welcome. Greens too concrete like for my liking and fairways way too close together especially on the first few holes.

Great course but a bit hilly and when it's windy the course can be a little harder to play because most holes go in to the wind.

Lovely course with a few very challenging holes. The 8th hole in particular with that massive slope in front of the green was a real challenge for my abilities. Holes 12 & 13 also seemed really long !!

Up and Down.
Nice wide fairways and well manicured under the tree lines. Drives need to be of a decent length to reach safety on many holes and some final shots to the greens are over a ditch or/and uphill.Some holes are a bit up and down and similar.Reviewer Rating

Very nice course. Greens and fairways were in perfect condition. Quite forgiving off the tee but the greens are undulating and hard to read. Couple of tough par 5s, that played straight into a strong breeze, really ruined my round.(Round played: August 2021 - Score 86 Handicap 12)

Challenging Course

Great course.
A lot of time and effort have gone into this course since my last visit. It has a much nicer look about the whole place, they have tidied it up all over giving it a much nice look throughout. The young lady behind the bar is a real credit to the place and works really hard serving 2 bars at once and never has you waiting. This was the best condition of course we have played so far this year. Money and work has been done and the benefits are beginning to show through. Well done to al who have helped this course come on so much in the last 12 month.

Played this course on a Monday, very quiet, at times felt had the course to myself. Friendly welcome in pro shop. Clubhouse was closed though (think it is just Mondays). Course in good condition given recent wet weather. Fairways lush. Greens had been spiked but still played true. A few gentle climbs on the course but not a hard walk around. Some nice holes with elevated tees. Great value for money for sure, worth a round if not played there before.
