Breightmet GC straddles the borders of Bolton and Bury in Greater Manchester. It is an 18-hole, par 72 parkland course established in 1911. A friendly, private club that is warmly open to the public.

Great moorland course with plenty of variety, well kept. Was made welcome straight away. Relatively sheltered considering where it is.

Stunning Breightmet
This course deserves to be played it a great layout with plenty of interesting & challenging holes. ..it's in top condition at the moment. ..greens are true & without a blemish on any of them. ..fairways are well defined. ..credit to the greens staff & a hart felt welcome in the pro shop. ..could do with a bit more signage coming off the 8th to fine the 9th tee & the same coming off the 10th to find the 11th tee...the use of a few buggies would have helped my playing partners but I'm sure they will feel the benefits in a couple of days time lol.Reviewer Rating

Excellent course, fairways and greens superb. Very testing. Made to feel very welcome by the Pro in the shop and the members in the bar. Definitely playing this course again.

The course is in great condition for the time of year. Staff very friendly a great days golf. The new pro that has just started has enhanced the facilities.

Although very wet weather this was a challenging course with a good variety of holes.excellent views of surrounding hills.well worth a visit.very pleasant staff in the pro shop and a good selection of golf gear.the pro shop does not take cards for payment of goods, but Simon in the clubhouse was very obliging and he took payment for goods bought from the pro shop.A really good day out.will certainly go back again.
