Stunning Breightmet
This course deserves to be played it a great layout with plenty of interesting & challenging holes. ..it's in top condition at the moment. ..greens are true & without a blemish on any of them. ..fairways are well defined. ..credit to the greens staff & a hart felt welcome in the pro shop. ..could do with a bit more signage coming off the 8th to fine the 9th tee & the same coming off the 10th to find the 11th tee...the use of a few buggies would have helped my playing partners but I'm sure they will feel the benefits in a couple of days time lol.Reviewer Rating

Although very wet weather this was a challenging course with a good variety of holes.excellent views of surrounding hills.well worth a visit.very pleasant staff in the pro shop and a good selection of golf gear.the pro shop does not take cards for payment of goods, but Simon in the clubhouse was very obliging and he took payment for goods bought from the pro shop.A really good day out.will certainly go back again.

Testing 18 holes set in undulating parkland with a stream and two reservoirs coming into play. (Additional 9 opened 2005).
Many of the holes demand tricky approach shot to elevated greens over the brook and for those who enjoy opening their shoulders there are four par 5's ranging from 489 to 547 yards. Green fees are 15.00 on weekdays. Wednesday is ladies day who have priority but there are only normally six or seven groups out.

Lovely course with a few very challenging holes. The 8th hole in particular with that massive slope in front of the green was a real challenge for my abilities. Holes 12 & 13 also seemed really long !!
