May I say I have never been so well treated and looked after the pro was very welcoming also the secretary was also very helpful and the course was excellent. one of the holes that stood was the 14th tight par 3 195 yrds through trees with a pond to catch a poor tee shot. Well worth a visit and worth every penny.

Snobby members which ruined the round. It’s a nice golf course but did not feel like I was welcome there. A massive shame as the course it nice. I would avoided if you are a visitor. These elderly members need to to realise that golf has changed and the younger generation are the future of golf.

Felt like a park land course but good to play. Straightforward, and felt like it should be possible to put a good score together, but if you stray off the tee then you lose shots.

Wow this course has really improved. Having played here on a regular basis for nearly 10 years I can honestly say that the course continues to improve in all areas, grassy fairways, interesting water challenges and true greens. The bunkers have mostly been refurbished and fairway watering installed.
This is definitely a course worth playing and will challenge golfers of every level.

Just played Braintree since last June, WOW!!
The course has really improved, so has the catering. The welcome has always been fantastic.
They have built a new lake on the 6th and 7th which is now a real bonus to this well established picturesque golfcourse is exceptional. If you haven't played it, you should! Greenfee is expensive but they accept all 2 for 1 vouchers and County card so very good value for £25. Well stocked pro shop and really friendly staff. A real gem you've got to play this year!

Played Braintree in the Summer, and the course was immaculate. I would class Braintree as a technical course. Which needs thinking about how you plot your way round. The course has a different feel to both 9s. So very challenging holes. Which I thoroughly enjoyed.

I played this course on a charity day so I do not know how much a round costs.It is a lovely course with many tree lined holes.There are good practice facilities.

Great Club
Great club house all staff friendly and very helpful.Course is a great layout in fair condition previous works has not recovered fully due to the weather.
