Snobby members which ruined the round. It’s a nice golf course but did not feel like I was welcome there. A massive shame as the course it nice. I would avoided if you are a visitor. These elderly members need to to realise that golf has changed and the younger generation are the future of golf.

Played this course last friday and thought the greens was in great condition but didnt rate the place that much.There are no holes that really stood out for me,to many samey holes,better courses and cheaper elsewhere[like benton hall]

Felt like a park land course but good to play. Straightforward, and felt like it should be possible to put a good score together, but if you stray off the tee then you lose shots.

I recently moved to Braintree and have played this course a few times. I have to say, I loved playing here. It is very tight and you have to think your way round for sure. The course was in great condition and in very picturesque surroundings. The staff when I played here with a society were superb, very friendly and the food was excellent.
I must say that both green fees and membership are expensive, especially the green fees. £50 during the week and £60 at weekends is bordering on extortionate and suggests to me that the club are actually not that keen on non-members playing at the course, which is why I haven't joined and why I haven't played it more than a few times - and even then, only when I had some sort of deal or was with a society - but it is well worth a visit if you can either afford it or get money off the advertised price.

I am secretary of a society which visited this course at the beginning of April. The reception from the staff was overwhelming and the catering was very good. The level of service was also very high. It is still early in the year and so the fairways and greens need more time to 'blossom'! but winter rules are still in force so no there are no excuses for a poor round. The club is working hard on the couse and new turf has been laid in some of the bunkers....I think what they need like all other courses is something we all hate....RAIN!

The club's apperance was quality and the course was pretty however for the money £52 a round Sat the fairways were rough, the grass on the tees needed cutting. I would play again with a 2 for 1 voucher ie £26 which is what its worth.

Great Club
Great club house all staff friendly and very helpful.Course is a great layout in fair condition previous works has not recovered fully due to the weather.
