Nice relaxed course. Good to play
Always nice to go to the relaxed atmosphere of Boldmere. Nice course to play, not too demanding, but challenging enough. Lots of par 3s, fairly flat but with some uphill features. Really enjoy it.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 87 Handicap: 27.9)

Short course.
Short course but nevertheless good fun .Not too difficult but you still need to hit a good straight ball.

Pace of play so poor
Played this course yesterday mid morning, Tuesday, 5th March and although cheap rate of ?10, this was reflected in the pace of play. A number of holes were being played by groups of 3 and 4 players of what I would call Senior players. Unfortunately, although asked to let single players through, the response was "no point, there's 3 up ahead and 4 in front of them". Their pace was so slow, that I started my tee off at the first a good 20 minutes later than booked. When this happens, it is difficult to get momentum between holes. This was found by a single player in front of me. The course itself, was in decent condition and course maintenance in progress. However, I shall avoid Tuesday mornings in the future and try later in the day to see if its any better. In saying that I still hit my best score here, but think what I could have had if momentum maintained!Recommendations are based upon a further visit in the afternoon being better!

SLOW SLOW PLAY.
Turned up after a rainy night and temporary greens 11/18 where in play. Acceptable besides the fact that these were totally neglected. The greens that where in play were good and fast, but the inconsistency between the temps caused difficult putting.I played as a two ball and it took us just under four hours. For a course playing just over 5k yards this was shocking. From the first tee we were stuck behind a four ball that refused to let us through, and not sounding nasty were terrible. Absolutely shocking behaviour. At one point there were two clears holes in front of them.
I have enjoyed playing the course over the years, but today as disappointed me.

Hidden gem in Sutton Park
Played this extremely well kept municipal course in Sutton Coldfield. Delightful and very approachable for the golfer in their early stages of playing the game as well as a test of driving accuracy for the more able player. Good number of par 3 holes demanding careful club selection.(Round played: May 2018 - Score: 103 Handicap: )
