What the club says: Boldmere Golf club was established in 1936 originally as a 9 hole golf course. The club boasts the oldest pro-am event in Europe, with top professionals joining the competition since it began in 1952. A recent score of 57 by M. Morris stands as the lowest round at Boldmere golf club and a 6 under par round at boldmere with all of its challenging par 3's is no mean feat. The par at boldmere is 62 with a total of 4202 yards, although only a short course consisting of 11 par 3's, 6 par 4's and 1 par 5, it is found by all who play here to be a tricky and challenging course due to the length of the long par 3's where many golfers need a wood to reach. The course is situated on the edge of Sutton Park leading to some rewarding views across the La Reserve lake.

Hidden gem in Sutton Park

Played this extremely well kept municipal course in Sutton Coldfield. Delightful and very approachable for the golfer in their early stages of playing the game as well as a test of driving accuracy for the more able player. Good number of par 3 holes demanding careful club selection.

A little gem

The course was in great shape all round. The recent rain did some damage to the course. Some of the bunkers were looking a little drained. Very friendly reception by the pro. No buggies to hire also no clubhouse to speak of. £12 for the round can't be bad!

Nice Corse albeit quite short

A short course on the edge of Sutton Park in the West Midlands. A lot of Par 3's although some of these are of good length , not easy to par. In great condition, well maintained course. Greens were a little slow when we visited but probably being protected due to the long dry spell before.

A nice looking course with a few great holes, the par 3 at the far end which is elevated is a great one. The 18th should be the first and the 18th should be the 17th though.

Very good

Again another Mytime Ative course, very good well maintained. A short course a lot of pair 3s, some which are very demanding. The course is in good condition, the greens are good, all in all, worth a visit.

A nice course

This a good course to practise on par 3 holes as there are so many of them. The course is good though, well kept and varied.

Given the heavy rain on the days before we played, the course was in very good condition, both greens and fairways. Although a relatively short course with lots of par 3's only a few of these you would class as easy. The setting adjoining Sutton Park and the large lake makes it very pleasant to the eye. The course is suited better to mid and high handicap golfers although I would recommend to all.

A cracking little golf course which is quite local to me, it may have 10 par 3s, but that are not all easy ones, a great test for your short game.
