Average!!

A typical pay and play course. Challenging enough course but the tee boxes were atrocious and the green were woolly which in turn made them so slow. They need cut and rolled to provide better putting services for all. Seems overplayed to be honest and a lot of hackers on there. Pace of play was ridiculous. I wold play again as they see to have a good 3 month trial membership offer on for ?275 but will need to think about it.

Kevin

The is course not at its best. The greens are suffering, fairways bone dry and the tee boxes are are non existent. The course itself is tight and offers a good challenge but the dry weather is winning at the moment.

Nice course poor greens

The overall course and layout and variety of holes is great but the greens were very rough, Lon, slow, bumpy.

All apart from 2 tees were temporary. Very slow greens which is a shame because they had lots of contours and would have been enjoyable if you had to feel your putts rather than hit them. Otherwise it's a good course I think, with a few hills, well placed water hazards and tight lines off many tees. I just had to give a low rating because the greens were such a disappointment.

Whilst Bletchingley undoubtedly has some nice holes it always leaves me feeling slightly underwhelmed. Weather it be the temporary tees, bumpy greens, presentation of the course, it always manages to slightly disappoint.

Apparently the #1 drainage course in UK .....so no rain = concrete course, so many fairway shots kicked bounced into rough and balls lost meant game not enjoyed. Any other course even my high handicap standard would not have been scratching around just off fairway for lost balls. Bounce and kick was outrageous all the way round. Greens inconsistent, fast , hard, and approach had to be well short to run on and not run through...

Course playing short as ground so hard, greens indifferent with some under treatment and others lacking grass. Bunkers were poor with not enough sand, most had poor quality of sand and were very stony. Generally disappointing, although pace of was good and staff very pleasant

Open course

An open course but too many holes are very similar so the challenge is not as great as I was expecting

Course very muddy. Had to clean ball on every shot. Greens ok some are a bit scabby. Pace of play was very good but few people on the course probably due to the weather. Prices for a round change frequently and there are deals on golf now. £7 for a pint of guiness is extortionate!

Fair practice facilities. Course holding up following heavy rainfalls. Pin positions very unfair and some greens not in good condition.

Bletchingley is laid out over the Surrey Hills which is an easy walk and gentle inclines for those cannot manage hills. The greens do need attention as were quite lumpy in places and patchy and very slow to play as we all found. Fairways were not too bad but it is early in the season for which they apologised.
There a few sharp doglegs left and right, for those capable can over the trees to get birdies. We did enjoy playing for the first and one that we would go back too in the summer. Club house is welcoming and a good chef but a small Pro-shop with just the basics. The buggies need updating as they are petrol and the fuel dials were not working, so you must check with the guy before taking it out that he has topped it up. Staff all very friendly and welcoming.

Good course that I have played many times. Fairways not up to normal standard though. It will not stop me going, I am sure they will get it right.

Good Challenge

The course has undergone some work over the last week- hollow tinned etc so the greens and tee boxes have yet to recover.
