What a shame....has the potential to be a half decent little course. I have never seen fairways that resemble heavy rough on most other courses!!

By far the most boring course Iv played. On front 9 the holes just go up and down. Practically the same hole each time just different lengths. Not particularly good condition. No practice facilities at all, not even a putting green.
All this for £16 midweek ,not great value at all.

Played this course about 8 years ago and remember why I hadn't returned. Gouges in greens, tee boxes that hadn't been mowed and members that wouldn't let us (a two ball) play through their four ball.

12/1/13. Course is very flat. Fairways needed a cut really. Greens played very very slow. Busy first thing in the morning so tee off on 10th.
Arguments with other golfers that didn't want us teeing off in front of them as they completed the front 9 already.
A few ditches and ponds to keep you on your toes.
I won't rush back and it's a bit short on yardage.

This coarse is very up and down with many trees and ditches and you can easily end up on the wrong fairway on many holes.Its a public pay and play and the quality of the coarse represents that fact as its hard to tell the fairway from the rough. We played on a saturday morning and paid £21.50 which makes this coarse very overpriced and there is better value to be had in the local area.

Played once in the middle of summer and it was hard to tell the fairway from the rough. The greens were dissapointingly poor and there was little sand in the bunkers. Tight fairways require accuracy off the tee but if you're a consistant striker then there is little else to challenge. Unlikely to return to this course even at £10 summer twilight.

A bit dull
The course was ok for a cold, late November round, but with so many similar holes it was a bit disappointing as a layout. Pie and a hot drink included in the green fee was a nice touch.Reviewer Rating

Worth trying if your in the area

Cheap and cheerful, worth a round
Nice little course to get a round in at before work. Friendly locals. Could do with a revamp to the what once was pitch and putt area. Putting green and nets would be a nice addition.(Round played: Oct 2021 - Score: 112 Handicap: )

Cracking value for money
A lovely little course. Not for the big hitters, a bit on the short side but you have to accurate.A lot of trees and narrow. Bunkers could be better.

Pay for what you get
This course has the potential to be a cracking challenging course, but it needs some work. £11 for a round on a Saturday is a bargain wherever you play, but there is a reason for the low price. There is no definition between the fairways and rough, leading to extra time looking for a ball in the fairway.The layout is good - the front 9 is tight and a 3 wood is your friend off the tee. The back 9 is more open and the driver can come out of the bag. With some work and investment this could be a brilliant course. Staff were friendly and helpful and seeing as we have had lots of rain it was more than playable.

Cheap and Cheerful(ish)
Friendly and very cheap (played a 2 ball on Sunday morning for £15 each). Course is relatively simple, without too much challenge. Tee areas need some work and course was very hard and dry following the recent hot weather. Short course with some quite narrow fairways that can test your accuracy.
Used to be able to book online with some healthy discounts making it great value for money.
Unfortunately, this is no longer the case, meaning there are better golf courses close-by for similar green fees.
