This is hilly and this is tough; ignore the yardage on the score card and add/subtract at least 2 clubs when playing uphill or downhill. Some really great views especially 7, 10 and 17, but real climbs especially on 5, 6, 14 & 17.
If you cannot hit it straight it will be a very long round. Greens were good, but grass was far too long on the fairways. A twilight round is just £14.50 but use the money saved for a buggy, it's worth it

After moving to the area 3 years ago I played all the courses in the area and finally joined Beauport. If want to play a nice flat course with plenty of room to open your shoulders then don't play here. This course is a real challenge and is a fantastic way to improve all aspects of your game. The back 9 contain some of the most interesting holes I have ever played and even though I play them at least 3 times a week they never get boring. The pro shop and practice facilities are excellent and the welcome is always warm. After the round the clubhouse has a superb selection of food and beverages and is good value.

one of the hardest challanges a mid to high handicap will ever have , if your are not straight on this course then you are in trouble, still great fun to play , and if the trees dont get you the sloping greens will !

Golf Shop and Clubhouse quite basic. Course is in lovely surroundings and is quite challenging. Fairways were well overdue a cut and were more like first cut of rough. Greens overall were good with the exception of the 14th green where the grass was longer than most fairways!! With better course maintenance, this would be a fantastic course. However, on Today's standard, it wasn't worth the money paid.

I played this course last Last Friday April 2012. With a bit of money spent this course could be fantastic. Greens are not very good and fairways need a bit of attention.Very, Very tough course, take lots of balls if you are a high handicap and get a buggy! or else.

We played on Saturday afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed this very challenging course. It is a visually stunning area and you have to be fit to get up and down the hills. Greens were in good condition considering the recent bad weather we have had. You need to be straight with your drive as the trees will swallow your supply of balls if your are not. Some great holes, the downhill 10 and 11 and long 17th being my favourites. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I played at Beauport and it was a very tough course, with some really tough holes (5th, 14th and 17th), but it has some of the best facilities for practice, it also has beautiful views from the 7th tee and the clubhouse balcony. The food is delisious and great value for money. It would be a great place to host a society. Definatly a course to visit for a challenge.

I played this course on the 3rd of October 2011 as I was down in Hastings for a few days Golf with a friend of mine and we were able to book a tee time for the Sunday for £23.00. I play off 9 but only play about 15 rounds a year so not a regular golfer and my friend plays off 22 again only about 15 rounds a year. Looking at other reviews of the course I was a bit dubious about booking here but after a few holes I realised I should never have worried. Now this is a tough course and no disrespect to anyone else who has left a review but I think a lot of the comments are based on how people have played and not on what the course is like. If you hit the ball in the trees as we did a few times then your probably not going to find it but that's the punishment for not hiting it where you want. This course is a challenge but one that the 2 of us both enjoyed and fro £23.00 on a Sunday great value for money. My advice is book a buggy, don't take out a load of brand new pro v1's and enjoy this very good challenging course. If you play to your handicap then you have either played very well or you should be cut :-). A really challenging good value and friendly club house so play here and enjoy the challenge.

Played the course this weekend (17/04/10) and unless your a really good golfer or enjoy loosing balls don't bother. I play off 18 and it made me feel like i was back at 28 again. Im convinced there are small people who live in the trees and run out and steal your ball when you hit the middle of the fairway. The greens are in poor conditionbut are difficult and really fast you need to play really high with lots of backspin to even stay on them. Overall its worth a look but a buggy is a must. In the right hands this course could be amazing.
