What the club says: Measuring 6,218 yards this par 70 course offers a fair challenge of golf along the tree lined fairways with a stream coming into play on six of the holes. Hitting into elevated greens also increases the course's challenge.

No idea such a course was tucked away on my doorstep. One of the top course in East Sussex.

Beautiful but tough when the wind blows
Beautiful setting and very friendly, welcoming staff. We started in sunshine but the course was a different beast when the wind blew and over the closing holes it started to rain.Definitely one to come back to - hopefully to enjoy the course with better weather.

Great Course, challenging and enjoyable
Course was in amazing condition for early March, greens were in superb condition and easy to hold.Well stocked pro shop and facilities.

First time played here and what a little gem it is, well worth a visit green fee is ?60 unless your with a member(?30), there is enough of a challenge for all handicaps as well, though you do need to be able to hit at least a fair way to clear the rough. Staff are friendly enough, food I don't know as I didn't eat anything. Will definitely be visiting again .Reviewer Rating

nice course greens in superb condition. friendly staff. had to get away after the round so didn't sample the food, but heard it was very nice.

Beautiful Rolling course
A regular society visit. The staff are always so welcoming and the food and hospitality are top notch. Despite the incredibly dry weather the course was in excellent condition and the green were green and very true running. A great day. Thank you(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 107 Handicap: 30.1)

Lovely course
Our society visits this course annually. We are always made very welcome and the food and services is excellent. The course is well established and has some wide fairways and tricky greens(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 98 Handicap: 31)

Highwoods situated in Bexhiil Sussex is an excellent course. I was a member there for 15 years until a move North.On the day I played it was not in the best of condition due to hollow-tining.I nevertheless enjoyed my day.
Not the longest but enough difficulty to make it a good challenge.

Great course & members

First time I have played this course. My dad has membership and is very happy he is playing for the club in competitions and his game is very consistent. He said how friendly people at the club were.. I agree and its in good shape as a course. The greens however are very challenging to read due to patches of different grass changing the line.

One of the best maintained courses in the southern area! Greenkeepers work hard to keep it this way. Friendly members around the clubhouse and course provide a warm welcome.
Well equipped and friendly pro shop.
What I like most about the course is that it has distance markers, pointers for the next hole etc... Most holes are different from the last so it doesn't feel 'samey samey' as so many courses now a days have... IE Straight par 5 going up, followed by the same par 5 coming back down... BORING!
Well worth a game here if you haven't been before!

Bunkers are rubbish and that is being polite, greens are so slow and impossible to judge the pace, rough is too long In places, tee boxes are nearly all uneven, prices are not competitive at all, apart from that I can say this is a good social club where golf is not the priority.

Looked good, played bad.\The course is well manicured but the greens are way too hard and the fairways even harder... Resulting in chip and runs from 130 yards, \This is fine on a links or downland course but it is a parkland course.

The course is in fantastic shape; the best I've played at in miles.

Excellent but deceptive course. The groundsmen should be very proud of their good work to keep the course to a high standard. It is well designed and looks easy but is not. Great views from the clubhouse and friendly staff in both the shop and club house. The equipment in the shop and the clothing is also excellent.
